Hello and welcome to this quick 5 minute meditation to help you unwind.
Please find a comfortable position in which you can be seated or lying down,
And please close your eyes.
I'd like you to imagine yourself sitting in the middle of a field.
You are surrounded by lush green grass,
You can feel the gentle breeze against your face,
And you see the grass moving and swaying from side to side as the wind slowly changes direction.
Above you there are some clouds passing,
Some lovely white fluffy clouds,
And you look up at them and you begin to make out some different shapes.
You take a look at one cloud,
And you notice one is shaped like a love heart,
And you realise that this truly is your time to unwind.
The universe is presenting you with a sign that it's okay for you to feel relaxed in this moment.
Give yourself permission to breathe,
Take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth,
And as you exhale,
A wind comes from behind you and blows with your exhalation,
And you notice that exhalation moving with the grass.
The sun is shining down on you and you can feel a warmth on your skin which is permeating through your body and into your entire being.
Your soul is being rejuvenated in this moment,
And you are letting go entirely.
You take another deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth,
And you notice at the end of the field there is a lake,
And the sun is glistening upon the lake,
Creating wonderful reflections of the clouds above.
The lake is twinkling almost like stars because the sun is shining so elegantly.
You look around you and you notice how vivid all the colours in the field are,
From the green grass,
To the blue sky above you,
To the dark blue colour of the lake.
You begin to notice all the flora around you,
You see giant oak trees around you,
Wonderful colourful flowers from blues,
Reds,
Yellows,
All sorts of colours,
Welcoming you and inviting you to find peace in this moment.
You just close your eyes and look out in front of you and give yourself some time to just truly visualise this beautiful scene.
You take one more deep breath in through your nose and hold at the top,
And gently exhale all your worries and remaining tensions away.
You take a moment to acknowledge your emotions and recognise how good and joyful you feel right now.
Congratulate yourself for giving yourself this time to unwind,
And remind yourself that this is something that you can do often within your life because you deserve to feel this good more often.
Gently open your eyes and take one final deep breath in as you finish this meditation practice.
