Good morning.
I'm Elizabeth Garzarelli.
Thank you for inviting me to spend a few quiet moments with you today.
Before the world asks anything of you,
Before the emails,
The responsibilities,
The endless to-do lists,
Let's begin this day with grace.
Take a slow,
Easy breath in.
And gently let it go.
Again.
Breathing in fresh possibility and breathing out anything you don't need to carry into today.
Allow your shoulders to soften.
Your jaw to relax.
All those tiny muscles around your eyes,
Just let them soften.
Feel the gentle support of the chair or the bed beneath you.
For these next few moments,
There's nowhere else you need to be,
Nothing you need to accomplish.
Simply allow yourself to arrive.
As your breathing settles into its own comfortable rhythm,
Imagine a warm,
Golden light glowing softly in the center of your heart.
Not a light you have to create,
But the light that's always been there.
Quietly waiting for your attention.
And with every breath,
It grows a little warmer,
A little brighter,
A little more alive.
Gratitude isn't about pretending everything's perfect.
Life can be joyful and challenging,
Sometimes all at once.
Gratitude simply invites us to notice that even in the midst of uncertainty,
There's still beauty.
There's still goodness,
There's still love.
Now gently invite into your mind five things that you feel grateful for this morning.
Don't force it.
Simply notice what naturally comes.
Maybe it's someone you love.
Or a pet.
Or your morning coffee.
Or the sound of birds outside your window.
Whatever comes is exactly right.
I choose just one.
Allow yourself to linger with it and imagine holding it gently in your heart.
Notice what happens inside your body as you truly receive this.
Perhaps your breathing becomes easier.
Maybe your heart softens.
Maybe you notice a feeling of warmth or peace or quiet joy.
There's nothing you need to make happen.
Just receive.
Now imagine that feeling of gratitude.
Becomes a gentle light flowing through your heart,
Into your shoulders,
Down your arms,
Through your hands,
And into your belly,
Into your legs,
All the way down to the soles of your feet.
Allow every cell of your body to remember what gratitude feels like.
Let it become part of who you are,
Not just something you think,
But something you carry with you.
As you move through this day,
May this quiet light travel with you.
May it help you notice unexpected moments of kindness.
Or simple beauty,
Or small miracles that are so easily overlooked.
And if today becomes busy or difficult.
You can always return to this feeling simply by taking one slow breath.
Conscious breath.
Take one more deep,
Nourishing breath in,
And slowly breathe out,
Perhaps allowing a gentle smile to come to your face.
And as you begin this new day,
May you meet yourself with kindness,
May you meet others with compassion,
May you meet life with curiosity and grace.
And when you're ready,
Gently wiggle your fingers,
Your toes,
And allow your eyes to softly open.
Thank you for sharing these moments with me.
I'm Elizabeth Garzarelli,
And I wish you a beautiful day.
If you enjoyed this meditation,
I'd love for you to save it so we can begin another morning together soon.
