Namaste,
Welcome to this journey of sounds where we begin exploring the chakras,
Seven primary energy centers that live within you.
The chakras we are working with influence your body,
Your emotions,
Your patterns and your spirit.
This time I invite you gently to bring your focus to your breath,
A deep inhale to begin with,
A reminder of all the possibilities and exhale all the weight you are carrying.
Today we begin at the base,
The first chakra,
The Mooladhara or the root chakra,
The foundation of all energy,
The seed of stability and survival.
Located at the base of the spine,
The root chakra connects you to the earth,
To your sense of belonging,
Security and trust,
Bright red color,
Rich in grounding enter your body,
Imagine that bright red light and infusion of energy entering your spine.
This is the energy that helps you feel safe in your body,
Rooted in the present moment and supported by the world around you.
As you continue focusing on your breath,
Inhaling,
Exhaling at your base,
Guided by the sounds,
Gently ask yourself,
What does safety mean to you?
Have you wondered what helps you feel grounded when life feels uncertain?
When do you feel most connected to the earth or nature?
What reminds you that you are not alone?
Have you given yourself permission to rest?
With each breath,
Feel the sounds of stability beneath you,
Solid,
Steady,
Supportive.
Keeping that intention we set in place,
We call upon Lord Ganesha,
The governing deity of root chakra,
To remove all those obstacles in your way and bless you for all the new beginnings.
Ganesha holds the wisdom of groundedness,
Reminding us that before we rise,
We must root.
With your breath anchoring you,
Like roots reaching down into the earth,
The stability signifying rising,
Growing,
Centering,
And the presence of the divine spirit leasing your path into stability and groundedness.
