During this first mindfulness exercise, the goal is to simply acknowledge or notice the presence of any sensations felt in your body while holding your baby skin-to-skin. You will move your attention from the place where you feel your baby’s head to the place where you feel your baby’s torso and then where you feel your baby's limbs. First, you will bring your attention to a place in your body that is in physical contact with your baby. Then you may also detect emotional sensations in your body.
