As you come to today's meditation,
I invite you to enter with an open mind and an open heart.
So go ahead and come into a comfortable space,
Wherever this might be,
In whatever moment you're in.
Just gently guiding yourself somewhere,
Knowing that you are safe in this moment.
Knowing that whatever reason for feelings of inadequacy or self-esteem,
Whatever they are,
They're valid.
So as you come into your seat,
Take a moment and just allow these feelings and thoughts to start to center in.
Let the heaviness center in.
Rather than hiding and pretending and stuffing down,
Let it all come out and forward.
What are the feelings?
And how do they feel?
Where do you feel them?
Do you feel them right at the base of the throat?
Almost as if they are just bubbling to get out.
Do you feel them in the belly and the chest?
Or maybe you feel them in the face.
Tightness in the jaw.
Heaviness in the eyes.
Bathing in the feeling.
Letting in the why and the reason.
The inadequacy.
The self-esteem.
Letting it come through the body like a wave.
Whether you find yourself in this moment because of the constant comparing of ourselves to others in a race that will never win or whether you're here because there's something in your relationships that draws attention to something that you're not liking.
Or maybe this is something that's deep within.
Something personal.
Something that makes it hard to feel enough.
Just bathing in this feeling.
Letting it be present.
Start to draw your hands in your lap or your knees and let the palms rest up.
Start to bring to mind a younger version of yourself.
The youngest space that you feel comfortable bringing to mind.
Imagine this younger version of yourself innocent and smiling.
Beauty radiating everywhere around.
Imagine a beautiful light surrounding this younger version of yourself.
This light is a protection,
A protection against all of the outside harm,
Criticism and inadequacies.
What would you tell your younger self?
If they told you they felt they weren't enough.
What would you tell them?
Go ahead and draw your right hand to your heart and gently let the left hand stack right on top.
If you feel comfortable in this moment,
I invite you to repeat the following words after me.
I am enough.
I am more than enough.
My light radiates within and extends throughout.
I do not receive negativity.
I am enough.
I am enough.
I am enough.
As you go forward today,
I invite you to keep these words near and to remember that all beings,
All creatures,
We all feel the same.
We all breathe the same,
But our differences are something to celebrate and our beauty resides within.
Namaste.
