Hello it's Denise here and thanks for joining me.
Today we're going to be talking about two words clutter and overwhelm.
Both these words I feel are highly overused when it comes to organization.
However let me expand on this.
The word clutter for me personally has a negative undertone.
There's an assumption that you can't manage your possessions,
Your time or even your daily tasks.
That you fail to which often brings shame,
Embarrassment and also a weight both mentally and physically that we're unable to lead a perfectionist life.
But this is not the case nor is it our identity.
In respect to overwhelm which many people feel this is simply lack of clarity.
A cluttered life or home is a result of what happened previously.
An example of this is the point of purchase.
When we are making decisions about purchasing another item to bring in our home or simply people pleasing and not being able to say no.
So if we take a different spin on this and first identify our values we can build standards or boundaries to what enters our lives.
Being crystal clear allows us to cultivate systems and habits which support those values.
Let's consider right sizing life and getting clear on what we desire,
What we wish to experience and what emotions we wish to feel.
We can dismantle our belief systems regarding perfectionism and comparisons.
For example those we see on social media or in magazines even on tv.
I truly believe that life is the greatest souvenir and we're meant to live it versus manage it.
Let's pause,
Reignite our passion and recall what we actually desire for our life and brings us joy and happiness.
So what are your definitions of values and what are your values?
When is the last time you connected with those values?
Right now I encourage you to grab a journal,
Put on some nice soft music for five or ten minutes and just download all of those values that are important to you.
