Verse 26 patraṁ puṣpaṁ phalaṁ toyaṁ yo me bhaktyā prayacchati tad ahaṁ bhakte upharitam asnāmi prayatātmanah An offering can only be made by those who are abiding in a state of pure consciousness.

From this state,

Whatever is offered,

God accepts it.

It does not matter what we offer.

It is the feeling or the bhāva behind that offering.

The pure-hearted ones are able to reside in the pure states of consciousness.

They are the ones who are able to do the offerings wholeheartedly.
