In this first session you’ll gain a deeper understanding of sleep. We’ll talk about why it’s so important for us to get enough sleep and what can get in the way of this. We’ll explore the different stages of sleep, and we’ll look at the concept of our sleep rhythms. We contemplate the question: ‘What is enough sleep?’

Top Ten Tips to Support Your Sleep
In this session we learn about 10 science-backed tips to support your sleep. We look at simple ways you can implement some or all of these tools into your nightly routine to support you in a deeper, more nourishing sleep.

Morning Routines to Help Boost Sleep
In this session we learn how morning routines can boost the quality of our sleep, as well as helping us manage difficult times during the day. We learn how to set a morning intention that not only supports us during the day, but calms us and readies us for a good night’s sleep. We also look at the usefulness of getting some natural sunlight during the day.

Help Your Sleep with Self-Compassion
In this session, I walk you through exactly what it means to be compassionate to ourselves. We learn how science has shown us that such a seemingly simple act of self-compassion can support and nourish our sleep. Today I also give you the ‘Self-Compassion Break’ exercise which you can do before bed.

Sometimes when we wake in the night we need some simple tools that are going to get us back to sleep. In today’s session I share six evidence-based tools to support your ability to calmly fall back into deep, nourishing sleep.

In this session I introduce you to another wonderful tool for supporting deep, nourishing sleep—yoga nidra. We talk through the different phases of yoga nidra and how you can just surrender into this extraordinary process to allow yourself to fall asleep.

The Benefits of a Sleep Diary for Improved Sleep
In this session we talk about how you can help keep track of your sleep and get to know it better by keeping a sleep diary. I introduce you to easy and simple ways you can create your own one-page sleep diary to help improve the quality of your sleep.
Lektion 8
Review – Bringing it All Together
In this session we review and reflect on what we’ve covered in the course to support you in your journey of developing deep, nourishing sleep. When we take the time to reflect on what we’ve learned, we can build a deeper, more personal relationship to the tools we’ve learned. I also talk through a client’s journey of how using the tools in this course have greatly helped his sleep.
