Blessings and welcome to the path to freedom.
This path to freedom that is all about us allowing for the peace and love and the joy that is all around us,
That is inherently within us,
To well up from within us.
This path to freedom that is all about us awakening to who and what we are and to allowing forever greater and grander expressions of that who and what to emerge with ease and grace in full alignment with the will of spirit,
In full alignment with the divine purpose for which we're here to fulfill.
My name is Daniel Roqueillo and I am deeply grateful that you're choosing to tune in,
That you're choosing to actively and consciously participate in this growth,
This expansion,
This unfolding of your soul,
Of your being.
So I'm welcome,
Welcome,
Welcome.
The theme for this particular message is practicing the presence and if you've tuned in before,
Perhaps you've heard me say that all of this spiritual growth and unfoldment and expansion,
It all boils down to what we choose to practice.
We can read all the books,
We can go to numerous seminars,
We can do all these theoretical knowledge gathering,
But unless we make use of our insights,
Unless we transmute this knowledge into actual doing,
Into actual changing of our behaviors,
Of our habits,
Our lives,
It's not gonna move one bit,
But we're gonna stay right where we are.
But the progress that we're making,
The steps that we're taking,
The unfoldment that we're inviting in and that we're participating in,
They all arise from us engaging in ever-expanding practices.
We need to practice what we believe,
We need to practice what we think we know,
Until we know it.
Until we,
By first-hand experience,
Has come to know it with a capital K.
And so practice is the fundament of spiritual growth.
And so I want to share with you one of the most profound practices.
I love meditation,
I absolutely love meditation as that is such a profound and powerful tool that allows us to come back to the nowness of this moment,
To break free of time,
Because many of the issues that we experience,
Many of the challenges that come into our lives,
And all of the fear and all of the worry and all of the doubt and all of the anxiety and all of these negative experiences,
They are born out of time.
Because we project into the future or because we hang on to the past,
Because we dwell in the past.
And so meditation allows us to break free from time,
To step out of time and come back to the nowness of this moment.
Fully present here,
Observing whatever is,
Allowing it to be whatever it is.
However,
We cannot sit in meditation all day long.
I mean,
Some individuals may have that ability,
But most of us,
Especially here in the Western societies and in our Western culture,
We don't have that luxury to sit in meditation all day.
But we have jobs that we perhaps need to go to,
We have obligations that we perhaps need to fulfill and honor,
And we have tasks that we perhaps need to do and see to.
And so while it is beautiful to have a daily regular meditation practice,
It is so important that we find a way,
That we create a habit,
That we create a way of life where we,
In between these moments of meditation,
Still have a way to anchor us in the nowness of this moment.
And that is what this practice is all about.
It's called practicing the presence.
And it's very simple.
It's very simple.
And what it is,
Is that we choose a trigger.
We choose a trigger.
A trigger that whenever we experience this trigger,
Whenever we see it,
Whenever we hear it,
Whenever we sense it,
It gives us the signal,
It reminds us,
Sort of like a placeholder in a book,
It reminds us to come back to the nowness of this moment.
And this trigger,
It can be anything.
It can be whenever we get to stop at a red light,
Whenever we're out driving,
And whenever we come to a red light,
That's our cue to go into mini practice.
Or as I have for myself,
Whenever I see a bird,
Or a flock of birds,
That's my cue to come back to the nowness of this moment.
I've heard of individuals that that uses trees.
Whenever they see a tree,
That's their cue to come back to the nowness of this moment.
I've heard of another individual she used whenever she heard a phone ring.
Or yet another individual,
Whenever she washed her hands,
That was her cue to come back to the nowness of this moment.
So,
And so how do we come back to the nowness of this moment?
Well,
What I do for myself is that whenever I see this bird,
Or whenever I see a bird,
What I do is I come back to the breath,
Just becoming present with my breath,
Allowing it to happen.
And I lean into one of my go-to affirmations.
And my most major go-to affirmation is,
All is well,
So peace be still.
And so that's what I do a lot of times.
I see a bird,
I come back to the breath,
And I remind myself that all is well,
So peace be still.
Or I can affirm that God and I are one.
Or something else.
What kind of affirmation or what principle we use is not all that important,
But what is important is that we create a habitual way of finding breathing spaces,
Presence spaces,
That we come back to the breath on a regular basis,
Not only when we're in meditation,
Which is beautiful,
But all throughout our days.
And so what I invite you to do is to catch your trigger,
Something that you feel inspired by.
Whenever you hear a song playing on any radio,
Or whenever someone says hello,
Or whenever you hear someone laughing,
Perhaps that's your trigger,
Your call to come back to the nowness of this moment.
And what you will find as you begin to practice this,
And as this becomes a habit,
As this becomes something that you do on a regular and consistent basis,
What you will find is that so much more peace will flow into your life.
So much more joy will flow into your life.
And the worry and the fear and the doubt,
They will begin to dissolve.
Because as you come back,
As you step out of time,
In the nowness of this moment,
There's nothing to be worried about.
There's nothing to fear in the nowness of this moment.
Because all of our needs are met.
Everything that we need,
We have it here in this moment.
In this moment we know and we feel that all truly is well.
It perhaps is not the way we want it to be,
Or the way we think it should be,
But it is still well in the nowness of this moment.
Right here,
Right now.
Not a minute from now,
Not two minutes ago,
But here now.
So this is a beautiful practice.
Practicing the presence.
And I invite you to try it on for the next week or so,
Or even longer,
Obviously.
I mean,
It is about making this a way of life.
It is about making this a part of our lives.
A habitual part of our lives.
So,
Thank you so much for tuning in.
Until the next time,
I bless,
Bless,
Bless your day and I bless,
Bless,
Bless your way.
You beautiful,
Magnificent,
Radiant and powerful being.
Namaste.
