Hello everyone and welcome to today's meditation.
We are continuing our journey up the chakras,
Coming to rest in our solar plexus.
So this is the energy center that rests just above the belly button.
It is our personal sun.
That's where we shine our light from.
We have built our foundation in the root.
We have learned how to flow through life joyfully in our sacral.
Now we come to know who we are and what we are here to do in the world through our solar plexus chakra.
So I invite you now just to get settled in wherever you are.
Remember we're never rushing into our meditation.
Giving our body and our mind a chance to catch up and meet us in this space right now.
So just take a few breaths and honor yourself.
Feel yourself come to rest supported in your seat.
Allow your shoulders to fall down away from your ears.
Each breath just let a little bit of tension leave the body.
Before we connect with our solar plexus chakra,
Let's just bring a little bit of balance to our body and our mind through the use of our breath.
We'll use the practice of Samavritti which just means equal inhale and exhale.
So all I need you to do is follow my counting.
As you inhale for 4,
3,
2,
1 and exhale 4,
3,
2,
1.
Inhale 4,
3,
2,
1 and exhale 4,
3,
2,
1.
Inhale 4,
3,
2,
1 and exhale 4,
3,
2,
1.
Continue this pattern on your own for another minute.
Allowing for the equal inhale and exhale of your breath.
Through this conscious breathing bringing balance and harmony to your mind,
To your body and to your spirit.
Now just allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm,
Releasing any control,
Letting it fall into its own flow.
Releasing how your body has calmed and your mind has become a little more quiet.
And now I invite you to place your hand over your solar plexus.
So the area just above the navel.
I want you to just imagine that you are breathing into your hand.
Breathing in and out.
Being mindful not to tense other muscles.
So be sure that your hips are relaxed.
Check in to make sure your shoulders are relaxed.
And release any tightness or tension you might be holding in the neck.
And just breathe into your hand.
Through your breath and your touch,
Connecting to the solar plexus.
This is your personal sun.
Your inner fire.
Where you find the confidence to be yourself in this world.
And now as you breathe,
I just want you to imagine that you're slowly bringing energy up from the heart of the earth through that golden cord that runs through your midline,
Reaching up to the heavens.
And as you inhale,
Imagine that you bring this golden energy up from the heart of the earth through your root chakra at the base of your spine,
Into the sacral chakra,
Resting between the hips.
And on the next inhale,
The energy flows and fills the space in your upper abdomen below your hand,
Igniting your inner sun.
And just imagine a ball of golden yellow energy lighting up your solar plexus.
Feel its warmth.
Feel its strength.
With each inhale,
This golden yellow ball of energy grows a little larger and shines a little brighter.
Just imagine this ball of light swirling and rotating and growing larger.
Maybe you even feel a slight tingle in your upper abdomen.
Maybe you feel its warmth and radiance.
As you breathe,
Just allow this light to begin to spread through your entire body,
Extending down through your lower belly,
Washing over the hips,
Down through your thighs,
Over your knees,
Through your calves,
Over your shins,
Filling your ankle space,
Your feet,
All the way to your toes.
And the light equally grows,
Filling the space between your ribs,
Washing over your heart,
Up to your shoulder blades and your collarbone,
Cascading down your arms,
Over your elbows,
Through your forearms and your wrists,
To your hands and out your fingertips.
It moves up through your neck,
Filling your jaw and your cheeks,
Your nose,
Your eyes,
Your ears,
Forehead,
All the way up to the crown of your head.
You are filled with this golden yellow light.
And now allow it to radiate out into the space around you,
Shining your brilliance out into the world.
Let's deepen our practice now by connecting with the mantra,
Ram.
So just silently and gently repeat this mantra to yourself over and over.
If you drift away to a thought or a sound or physical sensation,
That's okay.
Whenever you notice,
Just gently drift back to the mantra Ram,
R-A-M.
Allow this sacred mantra to be your anchor to the present moment,
Holding you here as you rest surrounded by the energy of your personal sun.
I'll watch the time and when you hear my voice,
Just sit gently with your eyes closed.
Let's begin.
