Welcome.
This meditation is a spiritual practice for chakra balancing and alignment.
Very simply,
Chakras are energy centers within our body that are often represented by different colors.
And when a chakra is under or overexpressed,
We might notice it in our health and in our emotional well-being.
For example,
If someone's throat chakra is underexpressed,
It might be somebody who's holding in things that they need to say and is bottling things up and feeling unhappy.
It could be overexpressed where someone is yelling,
Crying.
They kind of explode and express in an unhealthy way.
So we want it to go back into balance.
One more example could be if your solar plexus chakra or yellow tied to confidence is underexpressed.
You may say yes to everything and they're unable to create healthy boundaries.
It's overexpressed,
You might be almost arrogant or overzealous and aggressive.
So this meditation is to seek to create balance in all of the energy centers within our body.
And our bodies can do this very easily and very gently.
So I invite you to get comfortable.
As we do this gentle exercise together.
We start,
As we start any meditation,
By simply breathing in and breathing out.
You are welcome to lie down comfortably,
Or you might choose to sit in a chair,
Cross-legged or your feet planted on the floor.
Resting your hands in your lap or out at your sides.
So let's begin.
As we breathe in and as we breathe out.
We first draw our attention to the root chakra.
The color of the root chakra is red.
This is associated with safety,
Security,
Grounding,
Stability,
And belonging.
So imagine that you're focusing on the base of your spine.
You might,
With your mind's eye,
Picture that red color.
And as you do so,
You remind yourself.
I am safe.
I am safe.
Allow yourself to feel secure and protected.
Allow yourself to feel grounded.
And support it.
I am safe.
And as we gently breathe in and breathe out.
We move up to.
.
.
The sacral chakra.
Just below our navel.
The color of this area is orange.
And it is tied to creativity.
Vulnerability emotional expression,
Pleasure and healthy relationships.
Imagine the bright color of orange.
And the affirmation is.
I can be vulnerable.
I can tap into my creativity.
So tying it together with the root to the sacral.
I am safe.
I can be vulnerable.
I can tap into my creativity.
Gently breathing deeply in.
And out.
We move to the solar plexus chakra.
The color of this area is yellow.
So we might imagine in our solar plexus right around our belly.
The color yellow.
This is associated with confidence.
Self-trust.
Personal power,
Optimism,
And setting healthy boundaries.
The affirmation here is,
I trust myself.
I am confident.
And optimistic.
Notice how that yellow light shines for you.
So as we connect the root,
The sacral,
And the solar plexus.
We remind ourselves,
I am safe.
I can be vulnerable.
I can tap into my creativity.
I trust myself.
I am confident and optimistic.
And now we gently move into the heart.
The heart chakra is green.
For love.
Compassion.
Forgiveness.
Acceptance,
And connection.
And as we imagine the green around our heart space,
Notice how it expands as we breathe in and as we breathe out.
And the affirmation here is,
I give and receive love freely.
I practice self-compassion.
I give and receive love freely.
I practice self-compassion.
Now connecting these areas of the body from the root to the sacral.
To the solar plexus and to the heart.
Lining up colors red,
Orange,
Yellow,
And green.
I am safe.
I can be vulnerable.
I can tap into my creativity.
I trust myself.
I am confident.
And optimistic.
I give and receive love freely.
And I practice self-compassion.
And now we move up to the throat chakra.
You might gently visualize the color blue around your throat.
This is about speaking your truth,
Authentic expression,
Communication,
Feeling heard and understood.
Your affirmation here.
I speak my truth with kindness and love.
I speak my truth with kindness and love.
And as we connect those chakras,
You might visualize the different energy centers.
Fully expressed and aligned in your body.
And as I repeat these affirmations,
You can choose to start saying them out loud if you haven't already,
Or repeat them in your mind.
Or simply allow these words to sink in.
We now connect the root,
Sacral,
Solar plexus,
Heart,
And throat chakras.
Starting from the base of the spine,
It goes up red.
Orange.
Yellow,
Green,
And blue.
I am safe.
I can be vulnerable.
I can tap into my creativity.
I trust myself.
I am confident and optimistic.
I give and receive love freely.
I practice self-compassion.
I speak my truth.
With kindness and love.
And now we move to the third eye,
Often represented by indigo,
The color indigo.
This is between our brow.
The third eye is intuition.
Wisdom.
Clarity.
Insight.
Inner Knowing And the affirmation here is,
I see clearly,
I trust my intuition.
I see clearly.
I trust my intuition.
So as we visualize going up the spine,
Red,
Orange,
Yellow,
Green,
Blue,
And indigo,
For the root,
The sacral,
The solar plexus,
The heart,
The throat,
And the third eye.
I am safe.
I can be vulnerable.
I can tap into my creativity.
I trust myself.
I am confident and optimistic.
I give and receive love freely.
I practice self-compassion.
I speak my truth with kindness and love.
I see clearly.
I trust my intuition.
And finally,
There's the crown chakra.
Often visualized as either violet or a bright white light.
You choose for yourself.
Which one feels more strongly to you,
Violet or a white light?
And this is about spiritual connection or divine connection.
It is about purpose and peace and our higher consciousness and self-awareness.
It connects us to things outside of ourselves.
And the affirmation here is,
I am connected to something greater than myself.
I know who I am.
I am connected to something greater than myself.
I know who I am.
So as we do a final alignment and balancing of our chakras,
Starting at the base of our spine and working up.
We start at the root.
Move up to the sacral chakra,
Orange.
Move to the solar plexus.
Yellow.
Move up to the heart.
Green,
Move to the throat chakra,
Blue.
Move to the third eye chakra,
Indigo,
And finally the crown,
Violet or white.
Allow these words to sink in.
I am safe.
I can be vulnerable.
I can tap into my creativity.
I trust myself.
I am confident and optimistic.
I give and receive love freely.
I practice self-compassion.
I speak my truth with kindness and love.
I see clearly.
I trust my intuition.
I am connected to something greater than myself.
I know who I am.
I'm going to repeat this one more time.
I am safe.
I can be vulnerable.
I can tap into my creativity.
I trust myself.
I am confident and optimistic.
I give and receive love freely.
I practice self-compassion.
I speak my truth.
With kindness and love.
I see clearly.
I trust my intuition.
I am connected to something greater than myself.
I know who I am.
As you allow these words to sink in.
Visualize a line of open and aligned colors starting from the base of the spine up through the crown of the head.
Red,
Orange.
Yellow.
GREEN blue indigo.
And violet or white light.
I'm going to be quiet for a moment.
Simply breathe in and breathe out.
Allowing your body to feel grounded.
And a line.
Now in your own time.
Opening your eyes if you have them closed,
Gently wiggling your fingers and toes,
Rocking your head from side to side,
Coming back into the room and into the present moment.
Thank you for joining me.
