Hi there and welcome to the Art of Expression.
I'm Danielle and I'll be guiding you through your meditation practice today.
So let's get to it.
Begin by finding your comfortable meditation position.
For a moment,
Tap into your intuition and notice if it would feel better for you to be lying down or in a comfortable seat.
Using any props that you desire to support your practice today.
Giving yourself a few moments to settle in.
To be present in this moment for your meditation practice today.
As you settle in,
Begin to allow your attention to move inwards.
Becoming aware of your natural breath.
Begin to experience your breath as an expression of yourself.
Notice each inhale and each exhale just as it is.
Becoming aware of the temperature and pace of your breath.
And the way that your body moves with each breath you take.
Gradually begin to invite your exhales to get a little longer.
With each exhale,
Send the intent to release,
The intent to surrender to each part of your body.
Scanning through from the tips of your toes all the way to the crown of your head.
Finding more and more ease with each breath.
Finding more and more ease with each moment.
And as you begin to settle into this peaceful space that resides within you,
Notice any thoughts that may be arising.
Allow your thoughts to come and go as waves.
And rather than forcing your thoughts to move away,
Rather than pushing them aside,
See what happens when you invite them in.
When you acknowledge them just as they are.
As you notice each thought silently saying to it,
I acknowledge you.
I see you.
I hear you.
And seeing if a long,
Relaxing exhale allows that thought to begin to dissipate.
Settling into more and more stillness.
With each moment.
As you continue to cultivate this space of stillness in both your physical body and your mind.
I invite you to listen to the words of this poem.
Allowing each word to reverberate within your being.
Waking you up to your sense of artistic expression.
The art of expression.
I enter with all of my colors.
Precisely arranged.
A progression of hues.
Red.
Orange.
Yellow.
Green.
Blue.
Indigo.
Violet.
White.
I gaze at the blank canvas.
Bathe my brush in water.
And as if by enchantment.
The colors take on a mind of their own.
I paint.
I move.
I breathe.
Inventing strokes.
I was never taught.
Blending colors.
In unimaginable ways.
Creating a beautiful mess.
A vibrant array.
When my work feels complete.
I observe.
My canvas,
A unique masterpiece.
My apron,
Hands,
And shoes.
Covered in paint.
My heart.
Forever changed.
For the next few minutes.
Be here with your own sense of expression.
Giving yourself the space to visualize colors,
Patterns,
Landscapes,
Or scenes.
To feel what you are meant to feel.
Or to hear the words that you have been longing to tell yourself.
Slowly beginning to deepen your breath.
Bringing yourself back into this present moment.
Coming back to the simple expression of your own breath.
Experiencing each inhale and each exhale like something you've never experienced before.
Thank you so much for meditating with me today.
May you be happy.
May you be healthy.
And may you express yourself in ways you never dreamed possible.
Namaste.
