Your body contains the innate wisdom for life.
Think about it.
You don't have to know how to breathe.
Your body just does it.
And when you get a cut,
Your body knows how to repair it and make you whole again.
The intention of this meditation is to give your body the time and space it needs to heal.
Whether you need physical or emotional healing,
Trust that by giving yourself fully over to relaxing and releasing,
Your body will take care of the rest.
Find a place where you feel safe,
Protected,
And comfortable.
Put your phone on do not disturb mode,
Close the door to the room you are in,
And nestle.
You can do this meditation lying in bed or on the sofa or sitting in a cushioned chair.
Take any position where you feel held and supported.
Soften into the space where you've chosen to rest and notice how effortlessly it carries your weight.
Sense the edge of your body caressed by the cushion.
There is nothing to do.
Nowhere to be.
But here.
Draw your attention from the tips of your toes up to the top of your head.
Move slowly and luxuriously,
Connecting with each body part,
Noticing any tension that arises,
And taking any movement that your body craves to meet it.
You can massage your thighs,
Rotate your hips in circles,
Raise your shoulders up to your ears and release them down with an open heart.
Stretch your neck from side to side or your arms up to the sky Take any gentle restorative movement that you desire.
Remember to breathe deeply with each movement.
You might even make an audible sigh to signal to your body that it is time to let go.
On your next inhale and exhale.
Can you feel the air like a massage on the inside of your body?
Breathe this delicious,
Comforting air and let it touch every part of you.
Imagine that the air contains the unique elixir that you need to heal.
Drink in this air and let it soothe you.
Everything within you and around you is here to support you and give you life.
Softening,
Releasing,
Surrendering.
You are held and supported.
It is okay to let go.
In the silence between invitations,
Trust that whatever rises to your attention is meant for you.
Your thoughts,
Feelings,
And sensations are welcome.
And if it ever feels like it is too much,
You can come out of the meditation,
Connect back with the feeling of the chair,
Bed,
Or sofa that is supporting you,
And maybe place a loving hand on your heart as a reminder that you know how to take care of yourself.
This is a time to surrender into spaciousness and ease.
Your body knows exactly what it needs to do.
All you have to do in this moment is be.
Can you surrender more?
Can you release any thought or sensation that you are still holding on to?
Gently,
Effortlessly receiving the healing that is flowing all around you and within you.
Trust your own instinctive wisdom that what you need most right now is coming to you.
Take a moment to check in with your body.
What does it feel like to live inside the vessel that is you?
What is the quality of your breath now?
Every cell of your body is nourished,
Healed,
And regenerated with every breath.
As you transition out of this meditation,
Let the breath be a reminder that you can access healing as naturally and easily as you can the breath.
Savor these final moments.
Soak in this feeling of relaxation like a warm bath.
See if you can memorize this feeling in the depths of your being.
Imagine what it would be like to move through the rest of your day in this state of being.
I invite you to take a deep breath in and a gentle exhale to release.
Sigh Take two more at your own pace as you invite your body to come back online.
Wiggle your fingers and your toes,
Or take a nice stretch or yawn.
Oof.
Awaken your body back into the space you are in.
Know that this recording is here to support you whenever you are in need of a rejuvenating,
Relaxing break.
And have a beautiful day.
