A very big aloha.
My name is Reverend Cindy Palos,
And thank you.
I wanted to do a talk in meditation.
On understanding and seeing the bigger picture.
And it's pretty interesting how.
When we have to focus on getting a lot of things done,
We use part of our brain to concentrate.
We're not really at that point looking at the bigger picture.
We're just getting done what we have to get done.
With the energy that we have at that time.
Very easy,
Simple.
But then there's a time we can just let go of that.
Of that direction to take care of what we have to as far as work.
Or getting things done.
And that gives us an opening at that point when that's done.
And you take that time.
Typically in meditation,
Where you allow in meditation this opening to happen.
Where you're not just thinking of getting something done,
But you're allowing yourself to just be.
To just be still.
And to just be aware.
And to allow your inner self.
To be present.
And when you do that,
It's this other side of you,
This other part of you.
That has a chance to speak to you,
To come to you.
Inspire you and to direct you.
And meditation has got so many gifts that it provides,
Really countless gifts that it provides.
And people meditate in so many different ways.
But we all know the value of just taking that time to go within.
And to allow yourself to experience.
That part of you.
That is that spirit that is alive within your soul.
That energy there within.
And I thought we'd do that.
That would start,
Of course,
As I like to start with.
Making sure that your body's aligned.
And you're seated comfortably.
You're seated in a way that your energy can flow from your head to your toes.
And you just take that time to focus on the healing.
Heart of you that is there present within.
Starting with deep breaths,
Very deep,
Wonderful breaths.
Breathing in and holding your breath.
And just breathing out.
Being aware of that breath out.
And breathing in.
And holding your breath.
And then allowing yourself to be aligned.
In line with that energy that is there,
That is present.
Breathing in.
And out.
And as you breathe in and out,
You're giving your mind something to do.
You're directing your.
Mine that can usually like to follow directions.
A chance to follow what you're telling it to do,
To just breathe in.
Hold your breath.
And to breathe out.
And there's a flow,
There's a wonderful energy flow that happens as we do this.
This energy flowing of in and out.
And out,
And the pause between.
And just allow yourself to flow with this like you're floating down a river.
On her raft just floating.
Through that time and space.
And allowing all that beautiful energy that is there.
To be present as you become more aware of this time and this space.
Now you're using your mind to direct your breath in.
And your breath out.
And then if you take the time.
To allow.
That presence that is there,
That spirit within.
To have that space.
And your attention.
You can direct yourself to be aware of this energy,
Of this spirit that you are,
This energy field that you're a part of.
And if your eyes are closed,
You might see the colors changing as you look within to your third eye.
Simply allowing that inner self to speak to you.
And to be present,
To give it the space.
To become aware.
Breathing in.
And breathing out.
Who are you?
Love that part of you.
That inner self to speak in a way that you might get an answer.
Who are you?
You're not just your mind.
You're not just your thoughts.
You're more than that.
You're an essence there.
In that presence.
An energy field that is present here and now.
Who are you?
Allow yourself to receive that answer,
That direction from within of who you really are.
As you do this,
Then take the time to ponder what you are doing with yourself here.
This planet in this time and this space.
What is your purpose?
You may have many levels to your purpose.
But you might come to the center of that question of what is your true purpose?
The true purpose that you are here right now and present.
This gift that you have of being alive in this time,
In this sacred space.
It's so precious.
It's so wonderful to be able to know why you are here.
And what you wish to accomplish with this day,
With this time,
With this space.
With this energy of who you are.
What a gift this is.
What a precious,
Priceless gift.
You are.
Send this energy field that you are love and appreciation.
And gratitude.
For taking the time.
To be aware.
Of who you really are.
And in this time,
Allow yourself to be.
Able to communicate that answer.
As you come out of meditation,
As you slowly allow yourself to come back to your present day awareness.
And breathing in and out.
Allow yourself to.
Come to that functioning mind again.
And take back through this energy field.
The essence of the answer to who you really are.
And what is your true purpose in life?
And take the time to write down what comes to you,
What you have come to find within.
