A very big aloha.
I'm Rev.
Cindy Pollis and a light rain is falling outside today.
We've needed rain on Maui.
It's been rather dry this year so it's kind of peaceful and nice and I thought I'd share a little time talking with you and doing a meditation.
And I wanted to talk today a little bit about shortcuts.
I think everyone has found through social media and other ways that we like shortcuts.
We'd like to think,
Well,
What's the best way to get where we want to go fast?
And it's an interesting phenomenon about human nature,
You know,
It's just like,
Well,
I want it all and I want it now.
I'm sure you understand this,
Right?
There are some realizations you can find that help to deal with this situation.
Which is,
Number one,
There's been a huge in the past focus on enlightenment.
And I been in this field since I've been 13,
14 years old.
And I experienced enlightenment at a very young age around 15.
And I found at that point that I was getting addicted to that feeling of that bliss and that joy and that amazing love,
You know,
That you experience with enlightenment.
But what you also experience when you get to that point inside is that you can experience that same bliss that you feel when you leave your body and go into the higher realms.
But in the higher realms,
If you really get to that point where you are facing the real truth,
That you see that the truth is,
It's not a matter of getting to that point of bliss and just enlightenment and leaving.
It's a matter that's so important to understand of coming back,
Of trying to do what you can do to help,
Of doing the basics.
You come right back to the beginning.
You know,
You get back to like being kind,
You get back to loving,
You get back to forgiveness,
You get back to all the basics that are there always.
And so the shortcut isn't really a shortcut.
It seems like it is.
You know,
It seems like it is,
But the truth is you just understand maybe more.
You have the realization of how important it is to have those basics of understanding the importance of being kind,
The importance of loving,
The importance of forgiving.
All the really basic things,
You know.
And these were expressed in many places.
And in the Bible,
In the New Testament,
It's expressed through many translations.
So it's like,
Okay,
I get it now,
Okay.
It's just living with love,
Being kind,
Understanding the reason behind that all as you're doing it and having it be your choice.
Not because you're being forced to do it,
But because you realize the importance,
The importance of doing it.
And when you get that,
When you get that,
That's the shortcut.
The shortcut is understanding and accepting truth as it really exists in this world,
In this place.
And there's so many gifts that are present as you do this.
So many amazing gifts when you realize that you can make a difference by just being a good person.
That you can make a huge difference by,
You know,
Helping in small ways,
By being kind every day,
By being aware,
And by shedding light in whatever way you can in every situation.
And not because you want the recognition or the ego or the glory of it,
But because it's the right thing to do.
It's the best way to help raise everyone's consciousness is to be understanding by being kind,
By being non-judgmental.
It's the basics.
It's the core,
The basics of everything you already know.
So it's not like it's like one big,
You know,
Like I can go on this retreat and get it,
You know.
What you get,
You already have.
You have it all the time,
But you didn't necessarily knew you have it.
I can't help,
And one of my favorite movies is The Wizard of Oz,
And how they,
You know,
They have to make that long journey,
And they have to follow the yellow brick road,
And they have to go there,
And then they have to see the wizard,
You know,
Because the wizard can give them what they want and what they need.
And then they see the wizard is just,
Not really the wizard,
But the man behind the wizard,
And that he tells them the basic thing.
I was just saying that,
You know,
He gives them a little certificate,
And now,
You know,
You always had a heart,
You know,
You always always could do this,
And then they understand that.
So I think it's,
That movie is so enlightened,
Really,
Truly an enlightened movie,
A great gift to humanity.
So if we can just understand that great gift,
That amazing gift of using the basic stuff in life,
You know,
That all that other searching.
People spend so much money on doing these retreats and all these things,
You know,
And it's not necessary.
It really isn't necessary.
It's a matter of just living your life with understanding the beauty and the gift of being aware and helping in any way you can.
And it may take,
I don't know,
Whatever illusion we built around it.
It might bust your illusion if you think you have to do the other stuff to get to where you are right now.
But just like Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz,
She comes back,
You know,
She's no place like home.
There's no place like home.
You know,
Your home,
Your place where you are,
That's the beautiful thing in life.
And if you can get that,
If you can just accept that beautiful gift,
You might start to see your life in a different light.
And that is real enlightenment.
That light of appreciating where you are,
Why you are,
How you can do what you're doing with love.
So as I'd like to do always,
Let's just go within and just take some time to breathe and be aware,
You know,
Be aware of our breath and just breathing in and breathing out,
Being here now.
Deep breath in,
Holding your breath,
Ooh,
Neck cracking,
And breathing out,
Breathing in,
And aligning your back and your whole body.
Let it be just completely aligned and let the energy flow beautifully through it from your feet,
Ankles,
Your calves,
Your knees,
Your lovely thighs,
And your hips,
Your whole body,
Your base of your spine,
And that beautiful kundalini energy that goes from the base and on up through all the centers,
Letting them be recharged with light as you go.
Just allowing each center to be fully appreciated and loved for the work that your body does,
So much work for you.
Say,
Thank you body,
I appreciate everything you're doing for me.
And take the time to go into your heart,
The deepest part of your heart,
Your heart of your heart,
And just delve into that love that makes that difference in the world.
If this was the chance you had to really express love to someone,
Think of someone you love and how you would express that love energetically to that person.
And just let that love be there and present and have gratitude with that love for that that beautiful person in your life that has made a difference in your life.
So often we forget to tell people who are close to us how beautiful and important and how much we love them.
So let your love flow now to that person and just be grateful for having love in your life.
And let that love come back to you and take time to just love yourself,
Beloved.
Love who you really are.
Love the work that you do in your life with your beautiful intentions and have gratitude for that gift of who you are.
Such a beautiful soul.
Now let that love flow on up into the creative center in the throat.
That throat center does such beautiful work.
And the third eye where you can see the lights and the colors and the visions within.
And let it go on up to the top of the head,
The crown chakra.
And then always surround yourself with this wonderful protective beautiful white light above you,
Through you,
Down below you,
On either side of you,
In front of you,
Behind you.
This wonderful energy of beautiful beautiful light.
And now let's yourself travel and be aware.
Just be aware of what it's like to invite your soul's present to be with you right here and right now.
How would you sense your soul?
How would you bring that awareness and that gift of your soul into your awareness right now?
And what would you say to your soul?
What would you have your soul say to you?
What direction would you like your soul to give you?
It's such a gift.
Your soul is such a gift.
With you for lifetime after lifetime.
How magical and wonderful is this soul that you have.
That spirit energy alive in you here and now.
And allow that soul to recognize the source of the energy that created all souls,
All life.
The source of what is behind each atom.
What's behind our existence.
How magical and wonderful this existence is and this gift of being here now.
Allow that recognition and gratitude to flow to that wonderful gift of your life.
And that you're alive here now.
How wonderful that gift is of your life.
And just be grateful.
And let that soul's energy flow into your perfect self,
Your highest self,
Your whole beingness here.
And as you let that energy flow and continue to flow and go through your whole field,
Be grateful for your mind.
Be grateful for your body and the work it does for you.
Be grateful for your life.
How precious,
How beautiful this life is.
Now slowly come on back.
Taking time to breathe as you come back.
Totally conscious and aware with that living thread and thought that is still there.
That you can take the time to write down whatever thought may have come to you.
Any crossing idea.
Just helping to bridge that conscious level to the highest level of your soul by being able to take some time to write down what comes to you now.
And just be grateful.
Oh,
So grateful for this wonderful gift of your life and who you are.
As I am so very grateful to you for being present with me here now,
I bow in deep gratitude and love.
