Aloha,

My name is Rev.

Cindy Palos and I wanted to talk about inspiration.

That's one of the most important,

Wonderful subjects I love.

It's in spirit.

Inspiration comes in many ways in life.

Now,

It's interesting for me it comes when I meditate and when I go out in nature.

Most often those two things are inspiring.

Now,

Great music,

Wonderful music can inspire me as well.

I can be inspired by a great movie.

I'm sure sometimes you're inspired by some movie you've seen,

Right?

So,

Inspiration is a thing that feeds your spirit and in spirit,

Right?

Feeds you within and that spirit then gets inspired.

And when we get inspired,

Then we can reflect on what do we do with that inspiration.

Sometimes people get so inspired by a life such as Gandhi's life that they write a piece of music or an album for it or they do a movie about it.

How do you react?

How do you react when you find yourself inspired?

And then once you find that channel,

That way you channel your inspiration,

You can find an amazing amplification of it.

Now,

I do a lot of albums.

I've written that I find inspiring.

And then it's a matter of also to get the music that goes with it,

Right?

Or perhaps even a piece of music inspires me and I can write something that goes that way.

So,

It's an interesting dance of coordinating the inspiration and what you do with it.

Now,

The question would be how do you get inspired and what do you do when you are inspired?

Can seeing a movie on Gandhi's life,

Can that inspire you?

What will you do if you see a movie that would change your life,

Be inspiring enough to have your life changed?

Now,

I think it takes a lot to change a person's life.

And as I've reflected on this subject before,

I've seen that the thing that most changes people's lives are a death in the family that can definitely impact you and change your way of thinking and change your life,

Right?

It also can be getting married,

Falling in love and getting married,

Or just falling in love that can inspire you.

How many pieces of music have been written about people who are in love,

Right?

Most of all music.

Most of all music has to do with falling in love.

I write my music about God and inspiration I get from meditation and spirit.

But most people write about their falling in love with someone else.

And then you get a wonderful musical that has things like,

Oh,

What a beautiful morning.

You know,

You get inspired by the beauty of the morning or something such as that.

But on the whole,

On the whole,

People fall in love and decide to write something about falling in love.

Or they have a breakup and they decide to write about,

There's a lot of pieces of music written about people falling out of love as well.

And what happens when they feel betrayed?

You know,

So and when you think about movies too,

Same thing,

Right?

Same thing.

So much has been done in movies about falling in love.

But then again,

You know,

You can find some interesting movies about biographies about people's lives that were inspiring as well.

So we do this dance with our spirit.

And spirit does this dance with us.

Spirit does this,

This wonderful way of reaching us and touching us.

And like I say,

Sometimes it might take as much as a death or it might take falling in love.

It could be,

You know,

Many things in life that get you to that point where you then feel,

Okay,

I've got to express this somehow.

I've got to share this somehow.

And so it's an interesting thing when you go into meditation,

How you might use this.

And how does it tie in to meditation?

Because I always like to meditate and think of things that tie into meditation.

How I'd like to suggest,

And right now is that we do a meditation that allows you to connect with your spirit that goes inside,

Right?

You go inside,

You meditate,

And you connect with your spirit.

And what happens when you connect with that spirit?

And what comes to when you're open to receiving what comes to you in that meditation time where you have that wonderful opening to spirit?

Spirit will reach out to you in some way.

So we're going to just start by meditating with a smile and getting comfortable,

Which we always do.

You know,

You make sure your body feels good and is aligned and your spine looks like and feels like it's right to let the energy flow through you from your head down to your base of your spine and then downward from there.

And we just breathe in and out.

We allow that energy to flow with each breath.

Breathing in and breathing.

Breathing in,

Holding.

In Hawaii,

As you might know,

Ah,

Ha is breath.

Ah,

Right?

Ha is breath.

You don't have to say it,

But you can think it.

Sometimes it's interesting to say,

Ah,

Ha,

Breathing in and breathing out and watching that flow of energy go through you.

And as I go into that spiritual place within,

I am more sensitive to the sound of birds outside.

It's still early morning here in Maui.

And I hear the birds.

Ah,

And they have their own way of communicating their sounds.

Go deeper within and allowing that light that is your energy field from your soul to come into you.

And let that light surround you in a protective,

Lovely,

Lovely,

White,

Pure white light around you,

Above you and below you and either side of you.

Lovely breath.

And that breath of light.

Breathing in that light and letting that light flow.

And going deeper with that breath.

To that place inside where the breath comes from.

Go to that wonderful place inside where not only the breath comes from,

But to that source,

To that source within where inspiration comes from.

Just breathe into that place of spirit.

And letting that spirit flow through you as you breathe out.

Breathing the breath of spirit in and breathing that spirit slowly out.

Following spirit's energy.

Going deeper to that source within your soul of spirit.

Now take the time to allow spirit to communicate with you.

Go to the source of spirit.

Let that source feed your soul.

Let it feed your mind.

Be aligned with that wonderful source within you.

What would your spirit have you know?

Slowly come back inside.

Slowly return.

Breathing in deeply and letting each breath bring you completely to that center within you as you slowly return.

And feel the goodness and the energy here.

And let it come to you in a way that when we finish our meditation here,

You take a moment to write down or to type or to speak what spirit has brought to you.

Now there's times it's very clear and there's times you may not know if anything came to you,

But if you still just take the time to write something down.

Sometimes it's amazing that you aren't consciously aware of what came to you in spirit,

But there is often a message that will happen once you start to write.

So I encourage you to be inspired enough to take some time to allow yourself to explore.

To let that energy that you just ran come to you and speak to you and communicate with you.

It's a wonderful gift once you establish it and you find that relationship you have with your spirit that can communicate with you.

And sometimes it may not be immediate,

It might take time,

But it will evolve and you will begin to get some change in what you may be aware of through spirit.

And I bow deeply in gratitude with a big smile of love and light to you for taking the time to be here today.

Sending you my deepest love and gratitude.

Aloha Cindy and thank you! Sending peace and love across our land. We must remain committed to our own inspirations and values despite the cruel and narrow minded inspirations of those in charge….
