A very big aloha.
My name is Reverend Cindy Pollos and I wanted to talk today about the gift.
Of understanding.
I think when we can learn to understand ourselves.
Then we can also take that inner knowledge and learn to understand others as well.
And in that process,
We start to have a great view.
A vision of what's going on and what motivates ourselves and others.
And when we see it in that way,
There's so much that we can do.
In understanding the way we live and the way others live and what's really important to you.
And to others in life.
And it can be very,
Very different.
I mean,
Especially as you age and get older,
But,
You know,
You start seeing what's important on social media.
A lot of it has to do with relationships,
Relationships,
Relationships,
Relationships,
Love with this person,
This person is in love with me.
There's a huge cycle of that,
That is where a lot of the emphasis and a lot of things,
Including movies and life,
Dealing in relationships,
Right?
And so there's that,
But then there's that inner journey,
Which is sometimes covered in some ways by people.
But not as often.
But that inner journey,
That.
Self-realization.
That comes up.
Really is a huge subject.
There's a group,
Right?
Self-Realization Fellowship.
And many others start to realize that as you start to look within and as you grow,
You learn and as you learn you can understand more about yourself and about others.
Now what you do with that understanding is another huge subject.
It's like,
Okay,
You can observe and observe and observe.
But then putting it into work for yourself,
Putting it to be something that really is valuable.
Can be done in many ways.
Some of the big issues,
You know,
It takes a lot of work to make some changes,
You know.
And it's often said that sometimes people don't make those big changes unless there's some major things that change in their life,
Like a death or some major change or a loss of some kind,
You know,
Or being in love,
You know,
Falling in love with someone and getting married.
Major change having a child.
Can be a very big change.
But I also would include in that,
Which isn't often thought about,
That change of having this time and being devoted to meditation and going inside.
Because you can learn so very,
Very much.
By taking the time to go inside and to meditate.
It's a journey of self-discovery.
And that journey of self-discovery is extremely valuable.
And with that value,
Then it's then putting it to work in your life.
And you think about how this happens in life,
Right?
You go to school.
You grow up,
You go to school,
And you go to college.
Some people keep going to different levels of college,
You know,
You get degrees.
And more,
But.
It's so amazing to me,
And that subject is how many people.
Can spend a fortune going to college and learning,
And then they.
.
.
Really have a hard time finding a job and finding what they may have taken isn't really what they're going to be doing in their life.
So all of that is like what the past and the way it has been done,
Is that valuable now?
I think you have to look at how things are changing in the world.
And as they change,
We have to start to adjust.
The biggest change that's happening now is AI and how AI.
Is changing jobs and what is going to be available for jobs and the way people will work.
That's a huge,
Huge thing.
And so the thing is,
You know,
That will help you in some degrees as well,
May direct you as well.
And it's something possibly you could use.
It would be very handy to use at times.
It doesn't make the change you need for you.
It always comes back to you.
And what you can do.
To put to work in your life,
What you have learned,
The way you have observed.
You know,
Observed,
You're serving,
Right?
You're O-serving,
O-B-serving,
Serving.
How are you taking that wonderful gift of learning and understanding.
And being able to make a better life for yourself and for others out of it.
And it's probably countless ways that this can be done.
But that deep,
Deep gift,
That wonderful gift of being able.
Understand can be.
Be done in meditation.
And can change your perspective.
And as your perspective changes,
Your input changes.
And the way you see things changes as well.
And how you see things and react to things.
Can really make you a better person if you can put it to work for you in your life.
And it always comes back to that.
How are you putting to work in your life what you're observing,
What you're learning?
How can you share that knowledge or use that knowledge in relationships or in your work or what can you create with that learning knowledge?
It's a very long,
Lifelong actually process that we then choose.
We have the freedom to choose how we use what we learn.
But it's a worthwhile,
It's a very,
Very important lesson to use.
And you can tell when people have gone through this process.
You can tell.
The way people communicate.
You can tell how people really care.
You can tell how people understand.
And that is such a valuable,
Really priceless gift.
That you can have in your life that it's worthwhile.
So I think when you meditate,
And I think when you go through your process or maybe your daily review or your life review.
It's always valuable to see and recognize that gift of learning,
That gift of understanding,
That gift of using that understanding in your life,
And how you grow with it,
And how you can become a better person with this gift.
And I just wanted to share that idea with you,
Of course.
Employing that gift and recognizing that gift and not only having that gift of understanding but using it.
Using it to grow and change your life for the better,
Maybe change other people's lives for the better.
That little acts of kindness that come from understanding are truly priceless.
They are so important and such a wonderful,
Wonderful expression of understanding.
And I hope that you can take the time to look at the way you understand things,
The way you use them,
The way you can grow from them,
The way you can share them.
And I bow in the deepest of gratitude to you.
