A very big aloha.
My name is Reverend Cindy Pollos,
And I have always loved rainbows.
I think most people do.
And I've actually written an album about that and some songs.
Poems about rainbows because when I look at a rainbow It reminds me of spirits.
That energy,
That blessed energy of heaven touching earth.
And of course it has all the lovely colors.
And if we think about it,
It's got the colors of the chakras.
You know,
If we go through the colors of the chakras,
Those are what you see in a rainbow.
And what is also interesting is they're so fleeting.
They don't last long.
You know,
And I have always had this interesting thing happen that when.
.
.
I've lost a loved one or I said lost,
But when a person has passed on,
I don't ever think they're really lost.
But when they passed on,
I often seen a rainbow within a day or two of them passing.
And I've always felt that their energy touches from heaven to earth through a rainbow.
There's no way to prove that.
It's just something I've always had happen.
And it certainly makes me.
Recognize that that spirit from heaven is touching earth or from earth is touching heaven.
I don't know what a rainbow would look like in heaven because I haven't ever seen a rainbow in heaven,
But I certainly know from Earth here it feels like that heaven is present for me.
And it makes me stop,
As many people do.
I live on Maui.
You will often see,
If you're driving down the road with this rainbow,
Sometimes people will just stop and take a picture.
I will take a picture or look up at it.
It touches people in a magical way that often we are not reached.
So it is truly beautiful.
A blessing.
In fact,
I wrote a I saw a poem once called Rainbow Blessings.
Because I feel they really are a blessing,
You know.
We can enjoy that gift of heaven to earth,
You know,
In one of the great songs of all time,
Somewhere Over the Rainbow.
Great song.
You know,
And it was done so beautifully and it fit.
The movie it was in,
The Wizard of Oz,
Somewhere over the rainbow way up high.
There's a land that we've dreamed of once in a lullaby.
Isn't that,
I mean,
Such precious words,
You know.
And there is something to that,
You know.
We truly have this ability.
To go beyond our having to be logical,
Having to be a busy mind when we see a rainbow.
Isn't that amazing?
A beautiful thing.
A beautiful thing that can touch us and that can happen.
And we can actually,
You know,
Sense that rainbow.
We can have that same feeling of a rainbow.
If we just stop and notice.
The magic that is present.
You know,
If we just allow ourselves to sense that.
I had a friend pass away recently,
And I couldn't be back at the funeral and the service,
But they took pictures,
And they got a great picture of a rainbow right over the place where the service was held.
And I was like,
Yeah,
That's right.
That's there,
You know.
And I understood that so totally,
And I know that other people do too.
We have to allow that precious opening,
The precious beauty that is beyond just this earth,
But when heaven touches earth way up high,
For that energy to reach us here to be inspired and touched.
That's really a blessing.
When we can open ourselves to believe that,
To see that,
To be touched by that.
And it is really a gift that I think is so very,
Very precious.
And I wish to send you rainbows of love,
Rainbows of magic,
Rainbows of light,
Rainbows that inspire.
And that part that will leave our heart open always to that precious energy of a rainbow.
Bear.
Naked Heart.
Opens to show the pure white hidden spaces,
Frozen there within the hope of love.
The promise of what is still waiting to reach the source of its creation.
Holds a fragile blossom of compassion.
That unites it once again with the soul.
Fragile rainbow.
That exposes the reflection of what might be all of the infinite colors combined.
And a rainbow smile.
Turn to laughter.
At its final goodbye.
A wave of recognition of why.
There is the pain in life and why there are always unanswered questions that linger around lips waiting to be kissed that will always remain.
And that sweet song of bliss.
It's beyond the gift of God's flower.
It's more than can be explained.
It's you and it's me here and now.
Wishing to see some eternal thread left in the fallen petals that remain,
That dance that echoes in what winds remain,
Of your life's soft secrets.
Of the blessed memories waiting to return.
And be free.
And be redeemed.
By a fragile rainbow to be complete.
