A very big aloha.
My name is Reverend Cindy Paulus and I thought I'd talk a little bit about motivation.
And how we work with ourselves,
Part of this inner exploration and meditation thing.
Goes deep within our psychology,
Our psyche.
And what we do is we.
Start to explore what's going on inside ourselves as we meditate.
Because when we're quiet.
When we go inside and take the time.
To go within.
Things will start to come up.
Typically,
After many years of doing this,
There's the thoughts that pass like the clouds,
The beginning thoughts.
And they'll direct you sometimes.
They'll even try to take over.
You let them pass like clouds,
You know,
So there's the passing thoughts like that.
But once you get past the passing clouds,
You get to a deeper place within,
And you start to explore what's there inside yourself on the deeper levels.
Now what's interesting.
.
.
And this comes up especially in day-long or two-day-long or week-long group meditations.
What comes up more is the stuff that's deeper inside as the longer you meditate.
And the longer you're quiet and the longer you're going within,
The longer you're going within,
The deeper you delve into what's going on inside you.
And things that.
Have been buried,
Things that have been hidden.
Possibly since you were a child or even from other lifetimes.
Come up,
You know,
They start to emerge.
And that gets to be the harder part.
The part of you that you have to explore.
And be open to seeing in a space that is safe for you inside to take that time to be secure.
In knowing how to allow.
That deeper part of yourself to be able to be seen.
And it can become,
It becomes really actually a part of your psyche,
Your psychology.
Of that inner exploration of what's going on inside you.
But without having to go to a therapist,
You're just allowing the stuff to come up in meditation.
Now,
If you've ever done a group meditation.
For a while.
This can come up in very interesting ways in a group.
And things will start to get pretty strangely intense as they come up for people.
Maybe not because you're not talking a lot and a lot of these are silent meditations,
But you will start to have to have the endurance and the strength.
To be aware of what can come up.
And I know most of you aren't going to do one day,
Two day,
Three day meditations.
Now here's the interesting part.
Even if you're doing it for just a shorter period of time.
The deeper and longer you are meditating daily.
These things will also come up.
And it's really interesting to be able to face them in those situations,
Because what might happen.
.
.
Is people will back off sometimes and not want to go there.
I understand that a lot of people go into meditation and go into that inner exploration because they want to feel good.
You can.
You can feel really good.
When you're going inside,
When you connect with your inner self and your higher self and your soul,
There's a natural high.
That comes from this beautiful.
Beautiful energy,
But that doesn't take away from the fact.
That you need to know how this energy comes to you and through you and gets used by you.
Because as you intensify.
That inner exploration.
What also happens is you then have to figure out how to put it to use in your life in ways to share it or make yourself a better person.
By using it,
That comes up as well in how you put it to work for you in your life.
Now a lot of people don't go into this or talk about that because it's it's easier.
Just to talk about how you can feel good.
Go into meditation,
You do your time inside and you just feel really good,
You know,
You connect with that higher self.
Which is really always wonderful and a great gift that's free,
Absolutely free.
But if you're getting ready to do the work.
To take it to the next step,
Then you do delve into that next level.
And you become more aware.
Of what motivates you and what inspires you and how you use it.
How you deal with it.
And as you do that,
You need to understand the things that you will encounter as you put it to work in your life.
And that can really be an interesting process,
My friend.
Very,
Very deep,
Interesting process.
And it's interesting because I don't think it's easy to sell.
I don't think most people will try to tell you that or bring that up,
But it might come up for you.
And it's a good thing.
It's a very important good thing.
This is the inner development.
Very,
Very precious and important.
So just know that this is a process.
This is the process of inner growth.
Ways to explore what's going on within.
So very valuable and important and it will increase your awareness.
It will increase a lot of people's awareness.
Beautiful gifts that you have in so many ways and it will also make you a more interesting person and probably someone who can communicate and understand.
What's going on in your relationships in life in a much better way.
So there's a great reward that a lot of people sometimes also don't talk about.
But it is there,
And it is valuable,
And it is really something.
That is something to discuss or think about as you take this inner journey.
And I guess the first steps or beginning steps of doing this would be to maybe meditate a little bit longer.
You know,
Not just five or 10 minutes or not the time I take here talking,
But go into a longer meditation.
And then start to explore what comes up at that point for you.
And another tool to use in this process is to,
As I always suggest,
To write down what's coming to you.
To take thoughts that come,
Or ideas that come,
Or inspiration that comes,
And write it down.
Because as you do that,
You will start to see an interesting reflection coming forth.
And that reflection can be part of that process of learning.
So I just wanted to take this time to say a deep bow of gratitude to you.
For taking this journey to having that courage and that inspiration to go within and to explore what's going on within you.
And I bow in deepest gratitude,
My friends.
