Please place the attention on the breath for just a moment.

Breathe in peace from wherever you think peace resides.

A still mountain lake,

The trees in the forest,

A meadow full of wildflowers,

The night sky with the moon and the stars.

Breathe peace into yourself.

Let peace settle within.

Let it fill you.

And on your out breath,

Breathe out love from your heart.

Warm embracing acceptance and care.

Let that warm embrace of love that you are breathing out surround you in an embrace.

Now breathe that love and peace that is within you.

Breathe it out to the person near you.

Give it as your gift.

The breath that is life and that connects us all because we are all breathing the same air.

Now breathe in peace and breathe out love to your nearest and dearest.

You have breath,

You have love,

And you have peace.

Share it.

No reason.

The more we give,

The more we have.

Now breathing in peace and breathing out love to other good friends and relatives.

Sharing peace,

Sharing love with them.

Think of people you know whom you meet in your daily life.

Breathing in peace and breathing out love to them.

Embrace them with the warmth of your care and acceptance.

Fill them with peacefulness.

Share what you have.

Now thinking of someone you have a little grudge against,

Someone who rubs you the wrong way.

And breathe out love and peace to that person.

He or she shares the same air,

The same earth.

Now breathing in peace from wherever you think peace resides.

And breathing out love,

Allowing your breath to carry love and peace to as many people as you can think of.

People who live nearby.

People in your community.

Allow your breath to carry your love and peace as far as it can go.

Now putting your attention back onto yourself.

Breathing in peace and filling yourself with peacefulness.

Breathing out love.

And with each breath,

Breathing love and acceptance and care.

With the lovely feeling of being totally protected.

May all beings have peace and love in their hearts.
