This short practice is designed to help you energetically reset when feeling stressed, anxious, or worried. Best done in a space where you won't be interrupted and can safely close your eyes, you'll be guided to use simple breath and visualisation techniques to gently reset your nervous system, shifting out of the busy beta brainwave state.

Let's take a moment together now to pause and to reset.

If you haven't already done so,

Find yourself a comfortable space where you won't be disturbed.

Making yourself as comfortable as possible.

And once you have done so,

Close your eyes.

Take a moment here to take a deep breath in,

Drawing it in through your nose,

Filling your chest,

Your belly.

Really letting go on that exhale,

Out through the mouth with an audible sigh.

Breathing in again when you are ready to,

Draw that breath in through your nose,

Filling up every nook and cranny.

And when you are ready,

Let that breath go again with a nice big audible sigh out through your mouth.

Breathing in once again,

In your own time,

Draw that breath in through your nose,

Perhaps pausing at the top of the inhale for just a moment,

Before letting it go once again with an audible sigh,

Letting it all go out through the mouth.

Let your breath return to its own natural,

Comfortable rhythm now.

Breathing in easily,

And breathing out effortlessly.

And as you breathe,

Take your attention to the top of your head.

See if you can imagine the top of your head relaxing,

Softening.

Allow that relaxation and softness to move down to your forehead,

Softening your brow.

Your eyes resting gently in their sockets.

Your cheeks relax.

Your tongue gently resting at the bottom of your mouth.

Letting the muscles in your jaw to let go.

As you continue to breathe,

The front of your neck softens.

The back of your neck relaxes.

And the sides of your neck let go.

Flowing down into your shoulders.

Feeling any tension you may be holding starts to melt away.

Perhaps you can feel it in your shoulders.

A lightness,

A calm sense of weightlessness upon your shoulders.

Your arms relax.

You can feel the space between your fingers.

Tension melts away from your back,

Your chest,

Your torso.

Your hips soften.

Your legs relax.

And you visualize tension and stress melting away.

Like butter melting in the hot sun.

Scan your body now in your mind's eye.

Checking if there is any tension remaining.

And if you locate any stress or tension.

Place your focus and your attention on that part of your body.

And you visualize it melting away.

Easily.

Elegantly.

Repeating this practice if you locate any stress or tension that remains in your body.

If you need to,

You can repeat this practice anytime,

Anywhere.

Easily visualize the tension and stress melting away.

Take a deep breath in now.

And let it go with a sigh.

Bring some gentle movement back into your fingers and toes.

And when you feel ready to,

Gently blink open your eyes.
