Welcome.
Whether you are walking or seated in a chair,
You are in the right place.
If you are walking,
Let your pace be easy and unhurried.
If you are sitting,
Let your feet rest on the floor and your hands rest open.
Either way,
Let your eyes stay soft and open.
There is nothing here you need to shut out.
Take one slow breath in.
And let it go.
And another a little deeper.
Let your shoulders come down from your ears as you breathe out.
If you are walking,
Let your breath find your steps.
In for two or three.
Out for two or three minutes.
Let the rhythm do the settling for you.
Now imagine the air around you.
The angels have filled it with healing thoughts.
Drifting soft and bright all around you.
The way blossom drifts through an orchard in spring.
They have always been here.
They have never once run out.
You do not have to earn them.
You do not have to be calm or certain or having a good day.
They are simply here waiting,
Patient as the light.
And all you have to do is reach out and gather them.
So let us gather a bouquet,
One bloom from every system of your body.
Reach out and take the first.
A thought for your breath.
Breathe it in all the way down.
Feel it move through your lungs into every small and quiet space.
You say to yourself,
Let my breath.
Be easy.
Let it come and go without effort.
Hold that thought a moment.
Then let it settle where it is needed.
Now gather a thought for your heart and all the blood that travels from it.
Breathe in that thought.
And feel the warmth move out from the center of your chest.
Down your arms to your fingertips.
Down through your legs to your feet.
And you say to yourself,
Let my heart be steady.
Let every part of me be reached and fed and warmed.
Gather a thought for your nerves and your mind.
Breathe it in.
And let it travel up the back of your neck.
And settle behind your eyes.
And you say to yourself,
Let my thinking be clear and kind.
Let what is tightly held soften just a little.
Gather a thought for the belly.
For all the quiet work of taking in and letting go.
Breathe it in.
And let it warm you from the middle outward.
And you say to yourself,
Let me take in what nourishes me.
Let me release what I no longer need.
Gather a thought for the defenses of your body.
The good and faithful guards that work night and day.
Breathe it in.
And you say to yourself,
Let what protects me be strong.
Let it know friend from foe.
And let it rest when the work is done.
Gather a thought now for your bones,
Your muscles,
Your joints,
Everything that carries you.
Breathe it in.
And feel it travel the length of your spine.
Into your hips,
Your knees,
And your hands.
And you say to yourself,
Let me be strong and supple.
Let what aches be eased.
Let me be carried well.
And gather a thought for your skin and your senses.
The place where you meet the world.
Breathe it in.
Feel the air on your face,
The ground beneath you,
The light coming in.
And you say to yourself,
Let me be whole at my edges.
Let me meet the world gently.
Now hold the whole bouquet.
Breathe deeply.
All of it at once.
And let it go everywhere in you.
Down to the smallest living cell.
And you say to yourself,
Let healing reach the places I know about.
And let it reach the places I do not.
And if a thought slipped past you today,
If your mind wandered.
Or the day was heavy.
Or you could not quite reach.
Let that be entirely alright.
Those thoughts are not lost.
They drift on.
And they find some other place that needs them.
And more come.
They always come.
Tomorrow the air will be just as full as it was today.
So take one more breath.
And take whatever is nearest to you.
And know the angels go on filling the air behind you as you go down the path through the door.
Into the rest of your day.
The bouquet is yours.
It costs nothing.
It is always,
Always there for your taking.
If you are sitting,
Feel your feet on the floor and your hands in your lap.
If you are walking,
Feel the ground meeting each step.
Take one full breath in.
And let it go.
Carrying the bouquet of thoughts with you.
All day long.
