Guided meditation invites the listener to take a few moments before beginning the day to appreciate the stillness of the present moment, just before the day begins. It offers a gentle opportunity to transition gracefully from the time of night to the energy of a fresh new day. The guide serves as a steady companion throughout the session, supporting the listener during the meditation. Music: Sunrise by Alexander Nakarada

Good morning,

My name is Katrin and I'm your guide during this morning meditation practice.

I welcome you to this beginning of a brand new day that is about to start.

Soon,

This day will be bustling with activities and things for you to do,

But before heading into it and before getting out of bed,

Take a moment to appreciate the stillness right now,

Right here,

Just before your day starts.

Give yourself the opportunity to gently transition from the peace of night into the energy of a fresh day,

The day that is about to begin.

I invite you to leave your eyes closed for a few moments longer,

As if you were still sleeping,

If that feels okay for you,

Or to gently close them again if you have already opened them,

Or just lower your gaze and relax your vision if that feels better for you.

What is right for you is the right way to do.

And now,

Focus on the bed around you,

Feel how the bed surrounds you,

Carries you,

Feel your body leaning on the mattress,

Perhaps you can sense a comfortable warmth from your covers or perhaps a gentle coolness on your skin after removing them.

Give yourself a moment and feel your sensation,

And then let your body relax,

Take a deep breath,

In through your nose and out through your nose or mouth,

Breathe just like you breathe,

And feel your body resting safely,

Fully supported by your bed.

Your feet,

Your legs and your buttocks,

Your back,

Arms,

Hands,

Feel the relaxation in your shoulders,

Your neck,

Your head resting on your pillow.

Breathe in and breathe out,

Slowly,

Gently,

Peacefully.

Relax,

Feel your body resting and living,

Right here,

Right now,

How it feels in this moment right now,

Just before you start your day.

Sense your breathing and follow your breaths as they move through your body,

Waking it up to meet this new day.

And now,

As you set out to start this day,

Begin by setting your intention,

What do you want for this day?

Don't judge your wish,

Don't assess it,

It matters not if it feels possible or not,

Just let yourself wish for what it is you wish for,

And then let it go.

Let it float away on a sea of calm,

Swept away by winds of serenity,

And rest assured that you will do your best today,

As every other day.

You might enjoy today,

Or you might not.

You might have fun today,

Or you might not.

You might be very productive today,

Or you might not.

Days differ,

From day to day.

Some days are up,

Some days are not.

That is how things are,

Rolling on the tide of time,

Between place and through space.

What will be,

Will be,

And whatever will be,

Is fine.

Wherever you go,

You will go,

And that's where you will be.

You are like clay,

Moving with the tides of day,

So just come what may,

Just live in a human way.

And be self-compassionate today.

Wherever you go,

That is the place to be.

This new day is starting now,

Just like it did yesterday,

Just as it will tomorrow.

Welcome to this day.

Have a wonderful time,

And again,

Good morning.
