This is a short meditation,
A time out from what is going on at this point.
An opportunity to step back,
Relax and lower our shoulders and find our footing.
Start by making sure you find some place where you can be undisturbed for a few minutes.
Where you can be as comfortable as possible at this time.
My name is Katrin and I'm your guide.
Start by having a look around you.
What can you see?
Don't dwell on it,
Just see.
What is around you right now?
And then close your eyes and relax your gaze and switch your attention to the sounds around you.
What can you hear?
Don't dwell on it,
Just listen to what is around you right now.
And then focus your attention on what you can feel.
A movement in your chest or a tingling somewhere.
The air against your skin.
Can you feel that?
And now just relax the neck and jaws,
Muscles around the eyes,
Arms,
Legs,
Tummy,
Shoulders.
And breathe in.
And when breathing out,
Lower your shoulders.
And breathe in.
And when breathing out,
Lower your shoulders.
And one last time,
Breathe in as deep as you can.
And when you're breathing out,
Lower your shoulders as much as you can.
This timeout has come to its end and when you're ready,
Open your eyes and go on with your day.
