Good morning.
And if this is the first thing you hear this morning,
I greet you with warmth and kindness and remind you that you have everything you need on the inside.
Mornings can be tricky as sometimes we bring about the energy of the night before or even the day before.
Sometimes that energy is pleasant,
Sometimes it's unpleasant.
If you find yourself stuck,
I feel you,
I get you,
And I see you.
There can be a certain dread in the morning.
One of the tricks I have found is to not resist it,
To not fight it.
As our emotions change quickly,
We can trust in change.
And so if you're waking up with a certain lowness or stuckness or dread,
Just let it be there.
It's something within you that needs to be seen or heard or felt.
And if you try to push it away,
It will remain and become stronger.
So let it be.
Let it be within you as it will eventually fade into another emotion.
In our world,
It is best to ground ourselves first thing in the morning and remember that we are safe in this now,
In this present moment,
All is well.
And with deep breaths and anchoring ourselves down in this present moment,
Slowly but surely the night's energy will shed.
Take a deep breath in,
Hold,
And let it all out.
Your breath is your anchor.
You can put your hands on your tummy or on your chest to remind you that you are here.
And again,
All is well.
And we have this now and the next now.
So remind yourself over and over again that the trick is to keep yourself in the present moment.
Your emotions might have changed.
They might still be the same.
But that's why meditation is so good first thing in the morning.
It gives you a chance to look inside yourself,
Mind,
Body,
Soul,
Heart,
And see what's really going on and to become more and more self-aware and so that you can treat your day and yourself with kindness,
Self-respect,
Self-compassion,
And deep love and reverence.
Check in with yourself now and see if you feel anything different from when we started this.
You might,
You might not,
And it's all okay.
Don't fight anything,
Just let it be.
There are moments where the heart feels heavy like a stone,
And then there are moments when the heart feels light and blooming like a spring flower.
So just let your emotions be sending you love,
Deep warmth,
And the reminder that you got this,
Our love.
