In this guided deep relaxation you will hear healing background music with dolphin sounds to help you release stored tension from your body and mind. Without a release, chronic stress can lead to fatigue, burnout, illness and dis-ease. Simply by releasing tension you get the opposite effect, which is energy, enthusiasm, vitality and ease. Use this 17 minutes to tune into the wisdom of your body and find out what it needs to be healthy. You will be guided into the alpha state, where brain-wave frequencies slow down and activate the right side of your brain for enhanced creativity and problem-solving. Think of this time as an opportunity to restore the natural flow of life force energy that has been blocked by stress. This process of letting go will make room for greater clarity, creativity and productivity. Set an intention before settling into this deep relaxation and it will become a powerful use of your time to easily rejuvenate your body and recharge your mind as a daily practice.

Painting Close your eyes and take a deep relaxing breath.

Begin your deep relaxation by progressively tensing and relaxing all the major muscles in your body.

Begin by flexing your feet towards your head,

Tightening your calves,

Your knees and your thighs.

And then relax your legs.

Now tighten your abdominal muscles,

Pull your stomach in tightly.

Hold it in and let it go.

Now push your chest forward,

Feel the tension and then release it.

Make tight fists with both hands,

Squeeze your arms into a tight bicep curl.

Squeeze them and hold them.

And then relax them.

Now raise your shoulders up towards your ears.

Feel the tension in your neck and shoulders and then let it go.

Now tighten all of the muscles in your face.

Squeeze your eyes,

Your mouth,

Your forehead.

And then relax those muscles.

Relax your forehead,

Your eyelids,

Your jaw.

Even relax your scalp.

Now as you inhale,

Expand your abdomen,

Your diaphragm and your chest.

And as you exhale,

Release all the tension left in your body.

Allow your right arm to feel very,

Very heavy.

Allow your left arm to feel heavy.

Allow your right leg to feel heavy and your left leg.

And bring your attention to your solar plexus in the center of your body,

Beneath your rib cage.

Perhaps this area feels warm and comfortable.

And focus on the center of your forehead.

Perhaps it feels cool and calm.

As you simply allow your body and your mind to become completely relaxed and in harmony.

And your mind is like a clear blue sky and your thoughts are like clouds floating by.

You can just let them go.
