Hello and welcome to your meditation.
My name is Cassidy with Inner Soul Counseling and Wellness.
I'm thrilled you chose to be here today and I'm sure your mind and body will appreciate it as well.
The hustle and bustle in our world is so overwhelming and so constant that our minds and bodies really need breaks in order to rejuvenate and recharge.
So thank you for being here.
I want you to get started by getting as comfortable as you possibly can.
Try to make sure your spine is straight as well.
Feel free to lay down or sit up whichever feels right for you.
Once you get super comfortable,
I want you to begin to connect with your breathing.
Simply notice your breath without trying to change it.
Notice if it's fast or slow,
Shallow or deep,
And just stay here for a moment,
Noticing,
Allowing,
Accepting.
If your thoughts start to arise,
Notice them as well and gently let them go.
It's okay if thoughts start popping up.
The more you notice and release your thoughts,
The easier we'll get to do so.
Remember there is nowhere else you need to be right now.
This is your time.
Your time to reset.
And your time to let go.
Let your breath soothe you and comfort you into a peaceful,
Relaxed state.
This is your time to clear your mind of thoughts,
Clear your body of unwanted tension and energy.
Anytime you get distracted,
Just reconnect with your breath,
Noticing the inhale and exhale.
Excellent.
Now I want you to take a deep breath and think about the breath really going into your belly and filling up your belly.
And then you're going to hold for two seconds and slowly release the breath.
If you aren't on my rhythm,
That's okay.
Just make sure you're taking long,
Slow,
Deep breaths and your body will get the benefit it needs.
Okay,
So here we go.
We're going to inhale,
Hold,
And exhale.
Inhale,
Hold,
And exhale.
One more time.
Inhale,
Hold,
And exhale.
And let your breathing go back to its natural rhythm.
And just allow,
Whether it's fast or slow,
Just stay here for a moment.
Notice if your breath is any slower,
Deeper than before.
Notice and accept it exactly the way it is.
Now I'd like you to take a moment to notice the rest of your body.
Notice if there's any tension or tightness in the body.
Maybe even some pain.
And I don't want you to try to change anything at this time.
Just notice the body.
Sit with it.
Accept it.
If you notice any pain,
Tension,
Or tightness,
Try breathing into those areas.
Take a deep breath and imagine the oxygen flowing into the exact spot of tension.
Let the oxygen soothe and relax any tension or tightness away.
And let your body get very heavy.
Your arms,
Your legs,
Allow your whole body to sink into this heat or space below you.
You are safe.
You are grounded.
And you are supported.
Feel free to stay in this safe space as long as you would like.
And if you catch your mind wandering,
Simply reconnect with your breath to come back to the present moment.
