Hello and welcome.

My name is Chris McDuffie and I am the host of Spiritual Sobriety.

Together we will explore the spiritual pathways of Buddhism and 12-step recovery to relieve suffering.

For our purposes,

Each daily lesson,

Interview and lecture will focus specifically on how these two pathways may be practiced in order to find joy and happiness in sobriety.

Spiritual Sobriety is designed for anyone who is currently suffering from addiction in recovery as well as anyone who loves or has loved someone currently suffering from addiction.

If you are in crisis,

Please call 911 or go directly to your local hospital or emergency room.

The 12-steps in Buddhist spiritual pathways are beautiful tools to guide us out of suffering.

Our suffering from our active addictions,

Trauma,

Depression,

Anxiety and shame is ours to choose to end.

This group opens us all to the powerful principles and suggestions given to us freely from Buddha and the founders of the 12-step programs.

I teach recovery from addiction and co-occurring disorders through the spiritual practices of the 12-steps in Buddhism.

I also teach at my private practice and serve as a full-time chemical dependency counselor at Aton Center,

An adult residential treatment center for co-occurring disorders in Encinitas,

California.

I am completing my third graduate degree,

A Master's of Clinical Social Work at Fordham University in New York City.

I am 49,

Sober and practice physical,

Mental,

Emotional and spiritual sobriety throughout each day.

I am very excited to cultivate and strengthen our spiritual sobriety together.

This is so cool. I was happy to find your link. I’ve been sober 2+ years and it was meditation that lead me down the path of spiritual awakening. I’m excited to listen to the rest of your talks. I’ve struggle to find Buddhist 12 Step literature talk I actually enjoyed. I’m a big fan of my Big Book, but everyone likes their own person twist on things🙏🏽.
