Hello,
And welcome to Be Good to Yourself Meditation.
I am Brandon,
A certified immersive meditation guide and coach.
Today is day one of the Gratitude and Inner Stillness series.
You are here today to believe in yourself with a feeling of gratitude to all that you have to offer the world.
Thank you for taking a moment to be good to yourself today.
Let's begin to get you comfortable for your journey in appreciation of you.
Make sure your phone is on silent.
You have a note on the door to not be disturbed,
That you are in a comfortable seated position for easy breathing.
You have hydration,
A pen and paper,
An eye cover or blanket as needed,
Anything else to make sure that you are right here in this moment and comfortable.
And as you continue to get comfortable in your seated position,
Begin to bring the breath to in through the nose,
Visualizing traveling the breath up your spine,
The back of your neck,
Up through your head,
To your rest at the top of your head,
Holding your breath.
And when you are ready,
Take an audible exhale out of your mouth,
Like you're fogging up a window.
And again,
In through your nose,
Breathing up your spine,
Holding it at the top of your head.
And when you are ready,
Exhaling out your mouth,
Letting everything go and doing this one more time on your own.
And now bringing your breath to a comfortable in through your nose and out through your nose,
Starting to slow the breath down into a rhythm that is right for you.
Today is a new day,
A day to start fresh for you.
Notice your forehead muscles relax,
The corners of your eyes to ease,
The muscles in the bridge of your nose to melt down into your cheeks as they release,
Your jaw to drop slightly open,
And your tongue to rest heavy in the bottom of your mouth.
You will have moments of today's to-dos or yesterday's thoughts popping into your mind.
And just recognize them and let them float on by,
Bringing yourself back to your breath.
Breathing in trust and breathing out doubt.
Notice your shoulders drop away from your neck,
Freeing any tension in your shoulders and upper back as your arms become heavy at your sides,
And your shoulders drop away from your neck,
And your body becomes full of ease.
Breathing in trust and breathing out doubt.
Now bring your breath to focus on your heart space,
Really feeling the breath in your chest surrounding your heart.
Today you are safe to trust in you,
You as a person,
You as your body,
You as your soul,
Taking time to appreciate all that you do,
Whether it is for others or taking this moment for yourself,
Just to appreciate all that you do.
Begin to see yourself in your daily tasks and feel a smile spread across your face.
Knowing that you are enough,
That you can bring calm energy into your day and that you are appreciated for just being you.
Slowing your breath down,
Checking in with your body,
Releasing your shoulders a little bit more.
Whatever today may bring,
You can believe in your ability to navigate the day.
By taking this moment for you,
You are creating a serene peace from within,
A place to trust your intuition and a creation of calm throughout your body as you approach today's tasks.
Begin to see a white light from above that shines down on you.
It melts down your face,
The back of your head,
Across your shoulders and down your arms,
Surrounding your body as it softens and envelops your whole being.
Feel the warm embrace of this bright white light as it hugs your soul with appreciation.
My voice will be quiet for a moment as you reflect on the power of you,
The belief in who you are.
Notice the appreciation in your abilities to just be you.
You are you.
You are divinely strong.
And slowly,
Coming back to my voice,
Take three longer,
Slower,
Deeper breaths,
Feeling all the gratitude and the appreciation of you,
Remembering anything that was significant in your vision of appreciating you.
Or maybe it was just a feeling of peace within.
Remembering anything that was there for you.
Begin to wiggle your toes,
Open and close your hands.
Roll your neck.
Stretch your arms.
And with one last deep breath,
You can open your eyes,
Knowing that you appreciate you,
Your unique self.
