This course is highly experiential, with the goal of deepening your understandings of how the practice benefits your mind, body, and spirit. I use a transpersonal lens during these guided practices and lessons. In each lesson I go over a different element to explore, and the last lesson is an abbreviated, but full, yoga nidra. You will leave with a better understanding of how this practice works, and with a better felt sense of what may be happening in your body/mind. These practices are centered around present-moment awareness, which has both scientific and mystical implications. We will cover some of the subtle energies in and around your body as well. This is helpful if you struggle with anxiety, as it creates a space for stuck energy to move through you rather than getting stuck somewhere. If you have insomnia, this could change your relationship to sleep and rest, and if you are a seeker, than this is definitely for you. I hope it leads you towards deeper awareness and fuller embodiment of your spirit.

Lição 1
Origins And Awareness
This lesson briefly covers the origins of yoga nidra, as well as some of the benefits you may receive. It includes suggestions on how to set up your space and which posture may be most supportive for you. We then move into a meditative and experiential practice to highlight the power of awareness.
Lição 2
Sankalpa: A Heartfelt Resolve
This is like a mantra or a phrase of affirmation that is incorporated into many, but not all, yoga nidra practices. Setting your intention for the practice is a powerful way to channel your energy, and creates ripples beyond just the practice. The words we use and how we use them carry weight. Use this lesson to get in touch with what most needs your care and attention.

Orienting: Here And Now
Mindfulness techniques allow the practitioner to come into the present moment, using the senses and the surroundings to orient into the physical and temporal space. This practice, of being in conversation with the world around us, is ancient. Dropping away any distractions and arriving into the "here and now" creates a space for energy to move and mystery to emerge.

Energy Centers: Moving Awareness(Energy)
This lesson delves into the practice of consciously moving energy through your body. Instead of trying to understand why energy might have gotten stuck somewhere, this practice works from the bottom-up approach, clearing out and letting go, as well as replenishing and restoring.
Lição 5
Full Practice
This combines all of the elements we learned into one practice. We set up the space, orient in the present moment, discover a Sankalpa, move awareness through the body, and then finish with a short visualization.
