Welcome to this five minute guided meditation for sleep.

Let's start by getting into a comfortable position because after all you are getting ready to drift off to sleep,

A deep sleep that will give you the rest you need and leave you feeling recharged and refreshed in the morning.

So stretch your body out,

Stretch your arms,

Your legs,

Get comfortable.

Then take a couple of slow deep breaths in.

Fill up your lungs nice and slow.

Hold it for a moment or two and then exhale.

Let's do that one more time.

Deep slow breath in,

Fill up the lungs.

Hold it for a couple of moments and then exhale fully.

Next,

Focus on the present moment.

Do your best to clear your mind.

There's no need to think about what happened today or in the past.

There's no need to think about what's going to happen in the future.

Let's just focus on the present moment.

If it helps you can just listen to and focus on your breath as you slowly inhale and exhale.

Just be here now as you breathe.

Just be here right now in the stillness and safety of this moment right now.

Just relax.

Just be here now.

If thoughts happen to pop up,

Don't get attached to them.

Just watch them drift off like clouds across the sky.

You are not your thoughts.

You are simply the observer of your thoughts.

So just let them drift away.

Your only task right now is to listen to the music and let it carry you away as you get more and more relaxed.

You're comfortable.

You're at ease.

You're calm.

You are embraced in a soothing warm light.

Feel that warmth.

Feel that comfort.

Feel that sense of relaxation from head to toe.

This is your opportunity to dream,

To float,

To drift off to sleep.

Relax.

Relax.

Relax.

Good night and sweet dreams.
