I invite you to find a comfortable position,
Either lying down or sitting upright.
With your legs outstretched before you,
Or your feet planted firmly into the earth in a chair.
Let's begin with a deep inhale through the nose,
Filling the belly,
Ribs,
And chest.
And releasing with an open mouth,
Exhale,
Sighing it out.
Return to your normal breath for a moment and take in the stillness.
With the natural rise and fall of your chest,
Begin to visualize yourself resting in the sand.
The sun is warm,
Like a gentle hug.
The tide is slowly running over the tops of your feet.
Take some time to allow this space to materialize in your mind.
And with each inhale and exhale,
Imagine the sound of soft ocean waves.
While we're here,
I want you to think about what you've been carrying with you as you move through life every day.
Examine each emotion,
Experience,
And thought with compassion.
Honoring the amount of strength it takes for you to uphold these things daily.
Remember to breathe here.
Breathing out,
That is comfort.
And taking in the fact that you are an absolute force to be reckoned with.
As the tide draws closer,
It begins to slowly come towards you with warm cleansing water,
Surrounding the edges of your body while you relax.
As the water pulls its way back to the ocean,
It takes with it all of those things you named.
Everything that has been heavy for you.
As they float further away into the depths,
You are left lighter,
Renewed,
And resting in the sunlight.
Remember to continue breathing here.
Taking in love and acceptance for where you are in this moment,
And releasing what doesn't nourish you.
Let's stay here for a few breaths.
Now we begin to bring ourselves back to the present moment.
Ending the way we began our practice with a deep inhale through the nose.
Filling belly,
Ribs,
And chest,
And releasing with an open mouth exhale,
Sighing everything out.
Again for one,
Two,
Three.
Exhaling for one,
Two,
Three.
Last breath together.
Inhaling for one,
Two,
Three.
And releasing for one,
Two,
Three.
Thank you for taking this time to put yourself first.
I look forward to our next moment together.
