Welcome to today's Yoga Nidra Power Nap,

A guided meditation for you to experience deep and profound rest in a short amount of time.

From your body to lying down comfortably,

Set yourself up for a deep rest.

Make any adjustments that you need,

Possibly placing something under your knees.

Turn the palms open and up and scan your body as you inhale from the tips of your toe to the crown of your head.

Fill up.

Deep exhale.

And take a deeper breath,

Even deeper than that one.

Fill up,

Fill up,

Fill up.

Feel your body expanding and lengthening as you inhale.

Sip in just a little bit more.

Big release.

Inhale.

Easy exhale.

Allow your body now to be still as you follow the journey of my words to a state of deep rest.

By bringing awareness to our physical apparatus,

We're allowed to notice and observe the absence of thought.

Deep inhale.

Deep exhale.

Feel your connection with the floor,

The earth,

The ground below you.

Notice and feel the earth holding your body up.

Feel the benevolent force of gravity like a blanket covering you with a sense of love and care.

Bring your awareness to the tips of your toes.

You may desire to wiggle the toes,

To relax them,

To release them.

And feel the right toe,

The second toe,

Third,

Fourth,

And the fifth toe.

Feel the top of the foot as it connects to the ankle,

Back to the heel,

Under to the arch of the foot and the ball of the right foot.

Surrender and release the foot from duty.

Fully relax.

And bring your awareness to the right shin,

The right knee,

The muscles,

Tendons that support the knee,

And connect it to the right hamstring,

The right quadricep,

Your right glute,

The right hip point.

Take your awareness to the left foot,

The left toes,

The left ankle,

The left heel,

And the bottom of the left foot.

Relax and surrender the entire left foot.

Soften and release the left shin,

The left knee,

The left quadricep,

Left hamstring,

Left glute,

Left hip.

Feel the lower legs on both sides fully relaxed and heavy as if they're being magnetically drawn down towards the floor.

Bring your awareness to your belly,

Your core,

Your center,

Your womb.

Deep inhale,

Deep exhale.

Again,

Fill up the belly,

Swell the belly,

Open the mouth,

Deep release.

Imagine the ribs,

The diaphragm,

The lungs,

Your heart center,

Circulating life force throughout your body.

Soften and relax the muscles of the chest,

The pectoral,

The shoulders,

The clavicle,

The throat.

Feel the right shoulder,

The right delt,

The biceps,

The triceps,

Release and soften these muscles.

Trace your attention over the elbow,

The right forearm,

The right wrist,

And into the right palm.

Soften the right thumb,

First finger,

Second finger,

Third finger,

Fourth finger,

Release.

Take your awareness to the left shoulder and soften the entire left arm starting with the shoulder,

Bicep,

Tricep,

Elbows,

Connective tissue to the forearm,

Wrist,

Left thumb,

Index,

Middle,

Ring,

And pinky.

Feel both of your palms turned up and open.

With our palms open,

We release what no longer serves us,

We let go,

We allow.

Bring your awareness to your neck,

The earlobe,

The ear canal,

And soften these areas with an inhale and an exhale.

Feel the eyes heavy in their sockets and feel the corners of the eyes magnetically drawn down towards the floor.

Separate the back teeth,

Remove the tongue from the roof of the mouth,

And slightly part the lips.

Relax the jaw and melt the skin of the forehead.

Opening the third eye,

We have infinite vision.

Feel the crown of the head open.

Imagine,

Sense,

Or feel the energetic channels of the body flowing from the crown behind the throat to the heart,

To your core,

The sacrum,

To the root.

Imagine,

Sense,

Or feel a beautiful light flowing through the body,

Healing,

Illuminating,

Restoring.

Imagine this light,

Warm,

Comforting,

And pure.

Allow yourself to bask in this light as you restore your body now in deep rest.
