Here is a simple two and a half minute meditation for stress relief.
Begin by finding a quiet and comfortable space.
Now close your eyes and place one hand over your heart and the other over your stomach.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
And as you exhale through your mouth,
Let go of any tension or stress.
Inhale again,
Deeply filling your lungs up with fresh,
Pure air.
Exhale slowly,
Releasing any worries or anxieties with it.
Take one more deep breath in,
At this time imagine a wave of calm pouring over you from the top of your head to the tip of your toes.
Exhale fully,
Feeling any remaining stress melt away with the wave of calm.
Take a moment to bring attention to your body.
Notice any areas of tension or discomfort.
As you continue to breathe in and out consciously,
And calm waves pour over you,
Visualize these areas softening and relaxing with every wave.
Feel the tension dissolve with each breath and wave.
Take one last deep breath in,
And as you exhale gently open your eyes.
You will continue to carry this sense of calm and relaxation with you as you continue with your day.
