Hello and welcome to this meditation for waxing moon phase.
So this meditation is designed to help you embody and feel into this phase of the moon where we are increasing in energy as the moon goes from new towards full.
As there is this increase in energy you may feel a call to want more in your life,
To call in what else you need in your life that you want to increase.
This might be a more busy time,
A more active time as we're headed towards the full moon.
So this meditation is also designed to help you ground into that energy and use this lunar phase to the best of your energetic advantage.
Start by finding a comfortable meditation position.
Since the moon is waxing and increasing in energy,
Perhaps find a more alert position by sitting up tall with the spine long.
And if that doesn't serve you today,
Go ahead and take whatever works laying down,
Reclining,
Or seated.
But if you're able to,
I recommend sitting up tall.
You can even sit in a chair and have your feet planted on the earth.
As soon as you take those moments to settle in,
Close your eyes,
Or soften your gaze,
Gently bring your awareness to your breath.
Notice the quality,
Depth,
And temperature of your inhales and exhales.
Without judging or changing it,
Just observe the breath.
Now let's take a few mindful deep breaths to settle in.
Let's exhale all the stale air out of the lungs.
Now draw in a long deep breath through the nose.
Exhale sighing it out.
Two more just like that.
Inhale through the nose and fill your belly.
Exhale out the mouth.
Let the shoulders fall.
Last big breath here to really anchor you in your meditation.
Inhaling through the nose,
Filling the chest cavity.
And exhale,
Sigh it out the mouth.
Feel your body anchor itself to the earth.
Return to your natural rhythm of breath,
Soft and steady.
Now connect with the increasing energy of the moon with a breathing pattern that expands and lengthens each round.
I'll guide you through the breath count.
We'll start with an inhale and exhale with a count of three,
Then with a count of four,
Then with a count of five.
Repeating this for a few rounds,
Starting back at a count of three.
Let's begin.
Find your next inhale and breathe in for three,
Two,
One.
Exhale out the nose or mouth for three,
Two,
One.
Next inhale for four,
Three,
Two,
One.
And exhale for four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Preparing for a longer breath this next cycle.
Inhale for five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Exhale for five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Starting back at three,
Inhale for three,
Two,
One.
Exhale for three,
Two,
One.
Inhale for four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Exhale for four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Inhale for five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Exhale for five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Inhale for three,
See the waxing crescent moon emerge.
Exhale for three.
Inhale for four,
See the first quarter moon grow with half the moonlight.
Exhale for four.
Inhale for five,
See the waxing gibbous that's almost full moon.
Exhale for five.
Continue with your own count,
Starting back at the three count.
Breathe for three,
Then breathe for four,
Then breathe for five.
As your breath lengthens,
Continue to see the growing moon revealing more and more of itself.
On the three count,
You see the waxing crescent,
The sliver of light peeking out.
On the four count,
You see the first quarter,
The half moon shining.
Then on the five count,
You see the waxing gibbous,
Just almost a full moon.
A few more rounds on your own,
Seeing the moon change phases and grow in light.
Slowly release the count of the breath and settle back into your soft,
Steady,
Natural breathing.
Notice the shift in your state of mind.
Notice how your energy intertwines with the moon with each breath.
Now begin to sense where the moon is in the sky.
Feel your consciousness forming a bridge of awareness to the growing moon,
Whichever phase it is at right now.
Feel the beaming moonlight amplify further and further in the sky.
Can you feel this momentum in your body?
From the core of your heart and gut,
Form this connection to the waxing moon.
Now ask yourself,
What are you hoping to increase over the next few days?
What do you want more of in your life?
Reflect on all the growth and momentum currently in your life under the current waxing moon phase.
Become present in your body.
How does your body feel about this current growth?
How do you wish to move forward?
Finally,
Once you feel complete with your reflections,
Arrive back to the awareness in the core of your heart and gut.
From this place,
Shine your gratitude for the current moon in the sky.
Thank the moon for amplifying your wishes and for providing the energy to propel your life with forward motion at this moment.
After you finish radiating gratitude for the waxing moon,
Come back to your breath.
Deepen the breath as you return back into your body,
Bringing awareness back into your fingers and toes as you move them gently bit by bit,
Small intentional movements.
Maybe you feel called to take a big stretch with arms overhead energizing your body with the waxing moon.
When you are ready to complete your meditation practice,
Gently flutter the eyes open and return back to your space.
