Start by just getting comfortable in a meditative position You can sit up in a chair, You can come to a cross-legged seat or just lay down Find your spot and start to drop inward Connecting with yourself at the end of this day, Feeling the night sky wash over you Feeling the energy of darkness around and feeling the newness of this new cycle Bring to mind what aspects of yourself do you want to amplify in this next moon cycle Think about your personality, Your flavor of being on this earth And what parts of yourself do you want to release and let go of? Drop into your breath Take a cleansing inhale through the nose and a cleansing exhale out the mouth Welcome in an equal part breath. Your inhales and exhales are equal in length Driving the breath down into the belly with each round If you'd like to keep a count, Inhale for three and exhale for three Release the breath and just come back to your natural rhythm of breathing In your mind's eye, See the soft white light of the new moon wash over you The light softly cascades down starting at the crown of your head Feel this light clear the parts of you you wish to release as it moves down your body Your face and neck, Your chest, Your torso, Your hips and pelvis Down each of your legs and arms Let that cleansing energy just clear out any part of you that no longer serves you Focus on your breath to move this white light through your soul and body, Cleansing your aura Unblocking each of your seven chakras Now feel the white light start to shine from your heart center Ask the new moon to amplify the parts of your pure essence of being, Of you that you want to shine forth Immerse in the sensation of the white light shining brighter and brighter from your heart So bright that you have to squint when you look at it directly Feel that light surround your whole body With your heart open by this bright light, Be receptive to any sensations that may come up Send gratitude to the moon for cleansing and empowering your authentic self and for allowing you to harness her energy to receive cosmic wisdom Come back to a natural rhythm of breath Feeling the breath bring life back into your body Take a moment to sit and connect with your body after receiving any messages you may have received Open your eyes and journal any insight you received or continue on with your new moon ritual you
