I have multiple chronic conditions (including fibromyalgia) which cause muscle aches and pain. I'm used to what that feels like. Two days ago, I had a medication reaction which persisted through yesterday and resulted in massive chills and subsequent muscle soreness beyond what I'm accustomed to managing. In looking for additional support for this situation, I found this track and thought I would give it a try. Other pieces from this teacher have been outstanding for me in the past, so I had high hopes and was not disappointed!
Initially, I kept doing what I was doing as it started, but soon thereafter I stopped and closed my eyes briefly to focus on the track. It had been helping from the start, but once I closed my eyes, it really kicked in. The connection to the aches faded away very fast. I was able to re-open my eyes after a few minutes and continue my activity as the track played through my earbuds, and there was no decrease in relief. To the contrary, the relief increased.
The aches did not go away entirely, but I didn't expect them to. They did fade so substantially into the background of my awareness, however, that I have not really noticed them unless I stop and actually attend to bodily sensation or move quickly and with expansive or exaggerated movements.
In a nutshell, this track works and does enough to permit me to resume my usual daily activities largely free of pain.
