Welcome,
Everybody.
Thank you for coming.
I'm going to invite you to close your eyes,
Place both your hands over your heart and start taking some nice beautiful nourishing breaths.
Breathing into your heart.
Arriving here in your body.
Arriving gently into this space.
Beautiful,
Nice,
Deep nourishing breaths.
Beautiful Goddess,
Walk beside me as I open my heart.
Guide my words.
Steady my spirit.
And let this gathering be filled with kindness,
Wisdom and grace.
May your light shine gently within me.
Quiet flame that cannot be dimmed.
May love be my compass,
Peace be my path,
And compassion be the gift that I offer the world.
May the universe surround us with love and light,
Wrapping us in a circle of peace.
May we feel supported,
Held and safe to simply be ourselves.
Taking a moment to breathe in that light.
Breathe in that love.
Feeling it connecting us here in this space.
Feeling it wrapping us up like a warm blanket.
Breathing that energy into your heart.
You're ready I invite you to hold your cacao in your hands so that you feel the warmth in your fingers breathing in its beautiful aroma.
Perhaps even placing your cacao against your chest so that you feel the warmth in your heart.
With hearts full of gratitude.
We honour Mama Cacao and the sacred medicine she generously offers us.
And we give thanks to the wisdom keepers,
The ancestors,
And the traditional custodians of the lands where this cacao first grew.
We honour the farmers and families whose hands lovingly planted,
Nurtured,
Harvested and shared this gift with the world.
We thank the rich earth that held her roots,
The rain that nourished her.
The sun that warmed her.
And the winds that carried her to our cups tonight.
As we receive this cacao.
May we do so with open hearts,
With deep respect and with curious spirits,
Trusting that exactly what we will need will unfold in its own perfect way.
So,
With Mama Cacao as our guide.
May we remember that every new beginning is a sacred act of courage.
May we lead with curiosity.
Release perfection.
And simply begin.
With our first sip together.
We remember.
Think back to when you were six years old,
Before we knew the rules.
What did you love to do or play?
What did you make?
What games did you invent?
Think of the moments you lost track of time because you were completely immersed.
Sip and remember.
Breathing into that first sip as it enters your body.
Remember your youngest self.
They weren't trying to be good at everything.
They were simply delighted to be doing it.
With our second sip together.
We honour that life happened.
Life became fuller.
Responsibilities grew.
There were bills to pay,
Families to care for,
Expectations to meet.
Somewhere along the way,
Many of us quietly packed away our curiosity.
Sip and honour why we changed.
Breathing into that sip.
We're not here to shame adult pool.
We didn't fail.
We just grew up and forgot.
With our third sip together.
We reclaim our youthful curiosity.
Our playful self hasn't disappeared.
They've simply been waiting patiently for an invitation.
Sip and let this cacao remind you,
Your playful spirit is not behind you,
It is within you.
Breathing into that sip,
As we remember that both parts of us exist.
You don't have to choose between being responsible and being creative.
Between being an adult and being playful.
You are allowed to pay the bills and paint a canvas.
To care for your family and to learn that instrument.
To work hard and still wonder.
Breathing in to that beautiful energy of remembering playful childhood moments.
Breathing into the energy of honouring,
Growing up and becoming responsible.
And then breathing in,
Welcoming playfulness back in.
Invite you to continue sipping your cacao as we connect with tonight's song.
When we were kids,
We happily played We had fun trying,
Never afraid We experimented,
We explored If it didn't work,
We tried once more So when did we stop playing and start the endless waiting Trading wonder for perfection Quieting our creative expressions No more.
The day I start you I'll experiment i'll explore releasing fear opening the door i'll try i'll learn and if things change i'll simply smile and start again Oh.

Somewhere along the way many of us stopped playing.
Stopped experimenting.
And began believing we had to be good before we were allowed to begin.
What if?
What if you didn't need certainty?
What if you only needed willingness?
What if every attempt wasn't a test,
But simply an experiment?
Experiments can't fail.
They only teach.
Taking a nice beautiful deep breath into your heart.
As you connect in with your heart's energy.
Tonight I hope you release the need to get it right.
To say yes to yourself.
To your curiosity.
To your creativity.
To choose curiosity over certainty.
Giving yourself permission to experiment.
Breathing into that energy,
Just say to yourself,
I gave myself permission to be curious.
I give myself permission to make wonderfully wonky first attempts.
I give myself permission to laugh.
I give myself permission to keep going.
I give myself permission to try.
To wobble.
To learn.
To adjust.
And to begin again and again.
And again.
Knowing that every attempt brings you closer to the life you are creating.
This week I invite you to become an explorer.
Try the recipe.
Paint the picture.
Write the page.
Plant,
The seed.
Learn the song.
Ask the questions.
Because the magic isn't in getting it right the first time.
The magic is in being brave enough to discover what happens when you simply begin.
Thank you and blessed be.
