As you arrive,
May you find comfort,
Peace,
And a soft place to simply be.
In this space,
We'll drift through gentle movement with acupressure points on the body.
I'll guide you through these movements and ask you to join me with ease today.
If these movements are not available for you,
Trust yourself to find your way in the present moment.
Feel your body melt into the embrace of this moment,
Wrapped in the gentle hush of being.
Finding a comfortable position and place to settle,
Seated or laying down,
Taking a nice,
Slow,
Deep breath to bring your awareness inward,
Connecting with the physical body.
First,
We'll bring the awareness to the space between the eyebrows on the forehead.
This point is called the third eye point,
And it is situated exactly between the eyebrows.
Bring the tip of your index finger or index finger and middle finger to gently rest at this point.
Taking a slow breath,
Slowly begin to draw circles towards the right eye,
Feeling the gentle point of contact of the fingertips grazing the forehead.
As you slowly begin to draw circles,
Feeling the body softening and relaxing,
Continue for a few moments.
Now gently release the fingers,
Release the point of contact,
And allow the hands to rest.
Next,
Bringing the index fingers to rest at the temples.
This may be both at once or one side at a time.
Again,
It may be the index finger or the index finger and the middle finger.
Finding that gentle point of contact,
Pressing softly and begin adding movement.
This movement may be drawing soft circles.
This movement may be upwards and downwards across the temples.
As you move,
Breathe,
Feeling stress slowly leaving the body,
Connecting with this gentle movement for a few moments.
Release,
Letting the fingers and hands rest.
Now,
We'll bring awareness to the point found in the webbing of each hand between the thumb and the index finger.
I'll first guide you through this acupressure point on the right hand,
The right side.
Again,
You're welcome to make any modifications for yourself.
Or visualize this practice.
Bringing the left thumb and index finger to the webbing on the right hand,
The index finger will press into the underside or the palm of the right hand.
The thumb will rest on the top or back of the right hand.
Applying gentle pressure on both sides of the hand as firm as you would like in this moment.
Keeping that point of contact,
We'll rest here,
Breathing slowly.
Gently release,
Letting the fingers and hands rest once again.
Now,
Moving to the opposite side,
Bringing the right thumb and index finger to the webbing on the left hand.
Once again,
The index finger will press into the underside or palm of the left hand.
The thumb will rest on the top or back of the left hand.
Applying that gentle pressure as firm as you would like on this side.
Breathing,
Slowly releasing.
Slowly.
And gently release,
Allowing the hands to rest once again.
Taking a slow,
Deep breath through the body.
Bringing your awareness back to this space as you deepen the breath.
Opening the eyes if they were closed.
