About three-quarters of the way through 2020, I felt that there was an immense need for healing, of humanity, and of the planet, and began doing a weekly online Reiki Relaxation Circle. This need continues through 2021 and I would love to have more people able to access these healing meditation sessions so I am sharing them here on Insight Timer. In this session, we focus on letting go of anger with the energy of the Aries Full moon, through 2 meditations including a chakra-based body scan.

Good evening everybody.

Welcome to another Reiki Relaxation Circle.

I'm Arwen from Evenstar Wellbeing and delighted to have you joining me here either live or when you watch the recording later.

Before I go any further I would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands on which we're participating from.

For me that is the Wurundjeri people.

I would like to pay my respects to their elders past,

Present and emerging.

So if you haven't participated in one of these circles before or you haven't watched one then the purpose of it is as the name on the box suggests relaxation.

So we're going to work with Reiki and the word Reiki comes from the Japanese language and means universal energy.

This is an energy that is all around all of us all the time and anyone can tap into that.

But as a Reiki practitioner and a Reiki master I am trained and attuned to do that for you and then to direct the energy wherever I choose and that includes whatever place and indeed whatever time I choose to send that energy.

So I am inviting you to participate and to understand that you will receive the energy no matter when you participate.

So if you are watching a recording either on Facebook or Instagram or YouTube then the process is exactly the same.

Energy cannot be created or destroyed.

It is around us all the time and we work with that principle with Reiki and that is why it's possible for you to participate whenever it suits you.

So it is important that you make sure you're very physically comfortable because our purpose is relaxation so you want to make sure there's nothing that's going to distract you from your physical body being uncomfortable.

You are most welcome to lie down because I'm not going to be doing anything exciting that you need to watch.

You really just need to listen to my voice.

If you've watched some of the recordings or participated before you'll know that we work with the Reiki principles most times,

Most nights.

We're working with one of the five Reiki principles and tonight I decided that the best one for us to work with was For today only I let go of anger.

Now you may come across the Reiki principles with slightly different variations on the wording so such as For today only I will not anger but I love them in the way that I was trained with them through my own Reiki master and I really love the principle of letting go because I think that that's what we all need to do.

I know that I need to do more of that myself and today I thought that it would be great to direct our energy in this way because on the weekend we have a full moon.

So a full moon always supports and enables us to let go and if we're wanting to let go of anger then that is in particular supported by this full moon and I'm going to tell you why.

So the energy of the full moon I believe affects us because we are 60 plus percent water and we all know that the moon affects water,

The moon creates the tides and supports us to let go,

To release,

To cleanse.

So whatever no longer serves you in the current time or place what we're going to do this evening is going to help you to recognise that using your intuition especially things that potentially cause you to feel angry.

I will talk a bit more about the full moon when we've done our first meditation.

So we do two.

The first one is aimed at directing the energy to you.

So I'm directing the energy to you and you're going to receive it and direct it to yourself.

The second one is where we direct energy out to the wider world.

So we're going to direct energy out to everybody on the planet and to the planet herself.

My principle here is that everyone can do with a bit more energy and a bit more healing so that is how we're going to do it.

So basically I use you as a conduit to direct the energy to all the connections that you have but you'll hear about that with our second meditation.

So as I said please do make sure you're really comfortable lying down or sitting up.

If you have pain somewhere in your body then I would invite you to place your hands on that part of your body if it's comfortable for you to do so.

If it's not comfortable for you to place your hands exactly where the pain is so say if it's in the middle of your back then you can always place them on the opposite side of your body but you know the same level but on the front of your body.

Lying down sitting up and starting to slow down your breathing and shutting down or closing down your eyes if you don't want to close them then you can at least direct your gaze down to the floor.

Hopefully the dog next door is not bothering you too much.

I'd invite you to just direct your attention to the sounds that are around you for the moment so see if you can hear any sounds that are far away from you,

Any sounds that are close by,

Any sounds that your own body is making.

So focusing on your breath while you're listening as well so using your sound,

Your sense of hearing and focusing on your breath and really making sure that that breath is slowing down.

So breathing right down into the bottom of your belly with your inhalation,

Filling up your belly with beautiful oxygen and then as you release the breath and exhale making sure again that that is a really full release so every single last little drop of air is leaving your lungs as you exhale so your breathing should be really really slow.

So I have now started directing the Reiki energy to you and what I'm going to do is I'm going to ask you to focus on that phrase,

That Reiki principle of for today only I will let go of anger.

I'm going to play some music and we're going to use that phrase as a mantra which allows us to carry our mind,

To carry our attention.

So remembering that meditation is about refocusing your mind again and again and again.

We are not able to empty our minds so what we need to do is to refocus them.

We're going to use that mantra to do that.

I'm going to use my Reiki timer with Pamela Miles app and every 30 seconds I will remind you of the mantra and that will help you to redirect your attention.

So here we go.

Ah For today only I will let go of anger.

For today only I will let go of anger.

For today only I will let go of anger.

For today only I will let go of anger.

For today only I will let go of anger.

For today only I will let go of anger.

For today only I will let go of anger.

For today only I will let go of anger.

For today only I will let go of anger.

For today only I will let go of anger.

You'll really feel the need to take action to let go of those things that no longer serve you.

That may be thoughts,

People,

Activities,

Foods,

Addictive behaviours.

The Aries archetype is the warrior which is why I chose to use the focus on letting go of anger for this full moon.

Do you think that you have anger to release?

So we have now topped up your energy.

I don't know what you're feeling.

You're noticing a sensation of energy in your hands as they are directed and placed on yourself.

But I would now ask you to turn your palms facing outwards.

So in whatever position you are just turn them away from you and facing out from you.

Because we are now going to direct energy everywhere else on the planet and to Mother Earth herself.

So I will still be sending the energy to you.

I am still sending the energy to you.

But I'm using you to direct it onwards.

So we're all spreading the big healing network together.

So focusing on your breath once more.

Noticing what the breath does in your torso.

Noticing your belly expanding,

Your chest rising and falling.

Maybe even the sensation of your ribs expanding.

Perhaps even the sensation of your heart beating in the middle of your chest.

Imagine that you're breathing in the energy of Mother Earth.

And you're breathing out energy to the universe.

Breathing in deeply.

Breathing out completely.

Focus on your heart space.

So feeling very much into that chest space and noticing that heartbeat again.

We're going to pay our attention to the energetic heart now.

Your love energy.

And a great way to activate this is to use gratitude.

So I'd invite you to bring something to mind,

However small,

That you are grateful for.

Something that has happened today that you are grateful for.

Carry that thought into your heart.

Feeling the expansive energy of the heart when you bring gratitude to it.

You may be able to feel the energy emanating and traveling outwards from you in waves.

The magnificent magnetic energy of the heart.

Breathing in and then breathing out with your exhalation.

We are sending that energy outwards to everyone else in your house or home.

The building in which you're participating.

And another deep slow breath in.

And with the exhalation,

Sending that energy to everyone in the neighborhood in which you currently are.

And a big deep breath in.

And with your exhalation,

Sending energy out to everyone in your town or your city.

Breathing in fully.

And with your exhalation,

Sending energy out to everyone in your state or province.

And with this energy,

We're not only sending it to people,

We are sending it to all the plants,

All the animals in that location.

And with the in-breath again and then the exhalation,

Sending energy to everyone in your country.

And breathing in once more and breathing out,

Sending energy to everyone,

Every creature all across planet Earth.

And then with our last breath in for this segment.

And breathing out,

We are sending that energy back to Mother Earth.

The source of all of our energy we are giving back to her.

So we are now going to go into a bit of a visualization,

So remaining with your eyes closed.

And I'm just going to guide you through a body scan and also focusing on the seven essential energies.

And giving you some clues as to some things from each of those essential energies that may be causing you anger.

You may not even realize that in fact the underlying emotion is anger for you.

Then when we finish going through the meditation,

Whatever your intuition has brought up for you.

And during this exercise just grasping whatever it is that first floats into your mind.

Not thinking,

Just using your intuition.

Whatever comes to mind when I guide you through each of the energies is what is true and right for you.

So feeling first of all into your.

.

.

The bottom of your spine where your coccyx is.

If you're sitting,

You've possibly got some weight on that area.

So we're just directing energy outwards from us but paying our attention and therefore sending energy as well into each different area of the body as I name it.

So into the coccyx and the perineum area.

Your right buttock,

Your right thigh,

Your right hamstrings,

Your right knee,

Your right calf,

Your right shin,

Your right heel,

The top of your right foot,

The bottom of your right foot,

Your right big toe,

Second toe,

Third toe,

Fourth toe,

Fifth toe.

And over to your left hip,

Your left thigh,

Your left hamstrings,

Your left buttock,

Your left knee,

Your left calf,

Your left shin,

Your left big toe,

Second toe,

Third toe,

Fourth toe,

Fifth toe.

We're in the area of your foundation energy.

Things that may cause you anger in this energetic area,

Something that you want to feel safe and secure in but do not.

A member of your birth family,

Lack of financial support,

Feeling directionless and ungrounded.

Then paying attention now to the bottom most part of your belly,

The pubic bone,

To the right hip,

To the left hip,

The navel,

The lower back,

The waist.

In this area of your creation energy,

You may feel angry because you're unable to express all of the emotions that you would like to.

You may be frustrated at not being able to prioritize joy in your life.

You may be grieving over something that you used to feel passionate about but no longer do.

You may be disappointed in something that you've directed a lot of creative energy to.

Then moving up to your right ribs,

Your left ribs,

The middle of your chest,

Your mid-back,

Your upper back,

Your right shoulder,

Your right armpit,

Your right upper arm,

Your right elbow,

Your right forearm,

Your right wrist,

The right thumb,

Right forefinger,

Right middle finger,

Right ring finger,

Right pinky finger,

Your right palm,

The back of your right hand,

Your left shoulder,

Your left armpit,

Your left upper arm,

Left elbow,

Left forearm,

Left thumb,

Left forefinger,

Middle finger,

Ring finger,

Left pinky,

Your left palm,

The back of your left hand,

Your collarbones.

In the area of power energy,

You may be angry because you lack confidence.

You may not have control over your life or aspects of it.

You may have a sense that your life is completely out of balance in some way.

You may be frustrated over not having the energy to do all the things that you want to do or used to be able to.

In the area of your love energy,

You may feel unloved.

You may feel that you give all your love away.

You may be angry that you are closed off to new people or experiences,

That you don't have compassion for yourself.

You may feel that your passion about something or someone is useless or unrequited.

Moving up now to the throat,

To the back of the neck,

To the chin,

The bottom lip,

The top lip,

The teeth,

Your tongue,

Your right cheek,

Your right ear,

The back of your head,

Your left ear,

Your left cheek,

Your nose.

In the area of your truth energy,

There may be frustration at not being able to speak your truth.

You may feel as though you don't have a choice about something in particular or everything in general.

Moving up now to your right eye,

Your right eyelid,

Your right eyebrow,

Your left eye,

Your left eyelid,

Your left eyebrow,

Your forehead.

In the area of your insight energy,

You may be annoyed at yourself for not following your intuition or not being able to access it.

There may be frustration at not remembering what you feel are important dreams or the inability to visualize a brighter future.

Moving up now to the top of your head,

Seeing if you can feel the roots of all the hair on your head tingling and the connection of the top of your head to the universe beyond.

In the area of connection energy,

You may feel disconnection from people you love.

You may be missing faith in a higher power that once was there.

You may have no sense of the purpose of your life.

As we start to come back to the present time and place,

Just seeing if you can bring to the front of your mind any of those things which intuitively spoke to you and let you know that that is something that you carry anger about and need to let go of this full moon.

Just starting to bring some movement into your fingers and your toes to bring attention back to the breath but not deliberately doing anything with it,

Just leaving yourself to breathe naturally.

So to use the energy of the full moon on the weekend,

I'd really encourage you to write down those things and I'd encourage you to write them down right now so they don't slip out of your mind.

And then on the weekend for the full moon,

It's a great practice to physically let go of them,

To let the universe know you're serious by actually burning the piece of paper you write them down on and or potentially burying it or releasing it into a river or the sea in tiny little pieces of course.

That is a beautiful full moon practice.

So I hope tonight's Reiki Relaxation Circle was just that for you,

Relaxing but also informative,

Allowing you to tap into the intuition that we all possess and let you know what it is that you need to let go this full moon.
