Allison To Dan and my children We've seen the most beautiful rainbows together We are abundantly blessed Elaine Nema loved each animal who came onto the Ark Side by side with Noah and their family Nema cared for them all She loved feeding them She loved tending to their needs Nema especially loved witnessing their profound intelligence Furry or feathered friends come in every setting In growing up,
Nema loved receiving insightful messages Brought by her animal visitors She watched for the reindeer Who came in the bleakest hour of winter Basking in his regal presence As he spoke of hope and steadiness She awaited spring's promise As the bunny came around Whispering her words of wisdom Amidst pure sunshine and blossoms But Nema's greatest anticipation was for the groundhog Who would appear each year on the morning Precisely between winter solstice and spring equinox With a question Are you ready?
He would ask because Nema's welcoming and quick-witted nature Often shifted into shyness amongst others Sometimes things she saw and heard Filled her with such sorrow That she wept bitterly into her pillow Or ran away from home Nema remembered listening As the groundhog talked about facing her fears He called them shadows Stay home and recuperate if you need to Or gather your strength and go out into the wide world Both choices take courage Just different kinds Both are opportunities But make sure you aren't hiding in fear Or plunging headlong into muck He would remind her Do not blame others Or wait for someone else to choose for you There is good learning When you wait in quiet stillness Like the deep months of winter hibernation And like the rebirth of springtime There is beautiful growth When you take action intentionally Together Nema and the groundhog wondered When they would leave their warm dark safe haven And step into a bright future When it was time They did Now open your heart and listen What message do you hear?
