Grounding: The Solid, Still Foundation Within

A guided meditation to help cultivate relaxation, peace, and a sense of calmness. This grounding uses a guided visualization of the solid, still foundation of the earth to help you find and rest in the solid foundation of stillness that can also be found within you.

Hey there, Thank you for joining me. Let me guide you into a place of deep stillness and serenity. Close your eyes and relax. Take a deep breath. Release it when you are ready. And continue to breathe deeply. Imagine the earth, Not the moving water on it like rivers and oceans. Not the things that grow out of it, Like trees and flowers, But the huge mass of solid stuff. From the soil underneath the yard to the highest, Most majestic mountain peaks. Recognize this huge mass of solid stuff is eternally still, But absolutely vital. It's the solid foundation for the beautiful growth and movement of life. From which trees grow and bear fruit. On which rivers flow, Bringing us refreshing, Revitalizing water. It's the solid foundation which supports the largest oceans that relentlessly heave and swell, But also give us endless fun and enjoyment as we swim, Surf, And sail. Underneath it all is the massive, Solid, Still foundation from which the beautiful flow of life emerges. And deep within you is exactly the same thing. Feel it now. Like the solid stuff of earth, There, Deep within your very being, You will notice a firm, Solid foundation of stillness. It's always there. The bedrock on which the flow of the rivers of your life happens. The ground from which the beautiful things of your life emerge and bloom in the light of day. And of course, Those weeds too. How's the garden of your life right now? What grows here? Confidence? Enthusiasm? Love? What weeds need to be pulled and thrown away? Doubt? Stress and anxiety? It's our wonderful, Daily obligation to tend this garden, Pulling the weeds and encouraging the flowers within our hearts. But underneath it all, What makes it possible, Is the solid foundation of stillness. Recognize in this moment a rising appreciation and gratitude for the solid foundation of stillness within you. Like the earth, It's always there, Supporting everything, But we often overlook it. It's our refuge, Our comfort. It's the foundation on which we build our home. It's literally the ground of our being. If you feel like it, You can smile as you open your eyes, Continuing to recognize the bedrock of stillness within. It's always there, Waiting for you.
