Do you find yourself caught up in unnecessary thoughts, worries, anxieties, or mental distractions? This meditation is a practice of becoming less controlled by our thoughts, so that we can relax into our natural state of Inner Peace! We cannot control what thoughts arise in our minds—and we don't need to. Instead, we can practice noticing when we've become absorbed in thought and gently return our attention to the present moment. In this meditation, after a brief guided introduction, the spoken words will end, and you can relax into the soft meditation music, which contains occasional gentle Tibetan chimes. Whenever you hear a chime, simply notice: Am I lost in thought right now? If you are, there's nothing wrong. Simply let the thought go and return your attention to the music and to the experience of being present. And if you're already fully present when the chime sounds, simply smile and recognize your open, bright, shining Presence, here and now!
