My name is Ariana and I'm going to be guiding you through a somatic practice that empowers you to use the wisdom of your body when making a decision.
If you're feeling ambivalent,
Unsure,
Or having difficulty trusting yourself,
This meditation is for you.
I invite you to find a comfortable seat and gently close your eyes and take a few deep breaths at your own pace,
Breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Now turn your attention inward and simply notice.
Notice physical sensation,
Temperature,
Tension.
Go ahead and let your natural attention lead you around your body.
Maybe you notice an emotion or a thought.
Allow all of it.
I invite you to bring to mind a decision you'd like to make.
Maybe it's about a job or a relationship.
Whatever comes to mind.
I invite you to drop into your body.
Notice your face.
Notice your chest.
Notice your stomach.
Notice your pelvis.
Notice the bottoms of your feet.
And call to mind one of the options you're considering about this decision you need to make.
Focus on that first option only.
Envision it.
Envision yourself in that option if you were to go that way and make that decision.
What does your life look like?
What does your life feel like?
What does this decision sound like?
What does it smell like?
And if it had a taste,
What would it taste like?
What do you start to believe about yourself being in this decision?
What does this decision feel like in your body?
Don't overthink it.
Just notice and take note.
Let that go.
Wash it away from your mind's eye.
Release it and breathe.
Call to mind the second option you are considering.
Focus on this second option only.
Envision yourself in that option if you were to go that way and make that decision.
What does your life look like?
What does your life feel like?
What does this decision sound like?
What does it smell like here in this decision?
What does it taste like?
What do you start to believe about yourself embodying this decision?
What does this decision feel like in your body?
Don't overthink it.
Just notice and take note.
Let that go.
Wash it away from your mind's eye.
Release it and breathe.
What do you know to be true right now?
If you're still feeling ambivalent,
That's okay.
I encourage you to go for a walk,
Do some light stretching,
Or take some time to journal.
Let your body's sensation give you the information you need.
If you feel clarity after this exercise,
Wonderful.
This is a beautiful practice in developing a relationship with our bodies.
One that invites us to use the wisdom of the body as information when making decisions.
Thank you so much for joining me today.
See you next time.
