Welcome.

This is a guided meditation that invites you to visualize a safe space to ground and resource you.

Let's start by finding a comfortable seat or resting laying down.

I invite you to close down your eyes and tune your attention inward.

Now welcome some deep,

Relaxing breaths.

In through the nose and out through the mouth,

Allowing your out breath to be longer than the in breath.

Again in through the nose and out through the mouth.

And once more in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm and pace.

What do you notice?

What are you aware of in your internal space right now?

Just notice and name without judgment or trying to change it.

Simply allow whatever is here to be.

Now,

Let's bring the mind's eye to a place that feels safe.

This can be a place you've been to before,

It can be a place from a book,

A movie,

Inspired by a photo you've seen,

Or somewhere completely new your imagination creates.

Trust what wants to come forward.

Now imagine you're in this safe,

Sacred space.

What do you see here?

What does the landscape look like?

What colors do you see?

Allow the space to really take form.

What's it like to be here?

What sounds are present in this space?

What does this safe space smell like?

What's the temperature here?

Is it warm?

Is there a breeze?

Allow this space to settle into your five senses.

Touch.

Smell.

Sound.

Vision.

Taste.

How does it feel in your body to be in this safe space?

Just take it in,

Trusting what's wanting to emerge in this present moment.

As you take in this space,

I want you to notice you're not alone.

There's a safe,

Loving,

Wise presence there with you.

Who is it?

A loved one?

A pet?

Your higher self?

A character from a book you love?

Again,

Trusting what wants to come forward.

Acknowledge this being in this beautiful place and notice what it's like to simply be with them in their presence.

For them to witness you and be with you.

What do you notice being in the presence of this other safe,

Loving,

Wise being?

Maybe this being has a message for you,

Something they want you to know.

If that's the case,

Allow yourself to receive it.

Maybe we can thank this being for their message.

Knowing that you can always call upon this being again,

Gently release the image of this being.

You can imagine giving them a hug,

Waving at them,

Or simply releasing the image from your mind.

And as you are in this safe space,

I invite you to pick a word or an image from this space that you can take with you into the rest of your day.

And once you have that,

Knowing that you can always return to this safe space anytime you need,

It's always available to you.

At your own pace,

When you are ready,

Gently release this visualization from your mind's eye.

And again,

When you are ready,

At your own pace,

Gently blink your eyes open and orient yourself to the space taking in the room.

I encourage you to simply look around.

Notice what you see.

Notice what's familiar.

Feeling the cushion beneath your seat or against your back or the bottoms of your feet on your floor.

Just noticing what sensations you feel.

Attuning yourself,

Orienting yourself to the present moment.

Thank you for listening.

See you next time.
