I invite you to get comfortable and take a deep breath in and out.
Now gently close your eyes.
Imagine a table in front of you,
And on that table is a strong and secure container.
Start to notice details about the container.
How big is it?
What material is it made from?
What colour is it?
Are there any markings on it?
Have a feel of the container.
What does it feel like?
This is a very secure container,
So notice the locking mechanism.
Is it a padlock?
Is it a keyhole?
What's going to keep your container secure?
Stand in front of your open container and gather your leftover and residual thoughts and feelings of your working day,
And imagine them coming together to form a ball in your open hands.
Bring your attention to the ball.
How big is it?
What colour is it?
Is it moving or static?
I now invite you to gather that ball of thoughts and feelings and place it gently into the container.
Close the lid and lock the container with whatever locking mechanism you have.
The container is now safe and secure.
I invite you to pick up your container and imagine walking into a room.
At the far corner of the room you can see a closet.
Slowly walk towards that closet and open the door.
Inside the closet you see a light switch and some shelves.
Turn on the light and slowly lift your container up to the top shelf and then slide the container towards the back of the shelf.
Now close the light and gently close the closet door.
Stop to slowly leave the room and when you reach the doorway,
Firmly close the door behind you and lock it.
Know that your thoughts and feelings from the day are safely and securely stored away.
Take an inhale and an exhale and when you are ready,
Open your eyes.
