Hi,
I'm Angie,
An intimacy and pleasure coach.
Welcome to this flow like water meditation.
Over the next few minutes,
We'll use the image of a gentle stream to help you meet whatever you're carrying today.
Thoughts,
Emotions,
Tension,
With softness instead of resistance.
Water doesn't fight what's in its path.
It simply flows around and keeps moving.
By the end of this practice,
You'll take a bit of that same ease with you.
Now when you're ready.
Settle into a posture that feels comfortable for you.
You could be sitting or lying down.
Let your arms rest at your sides and release your jaw and shoulders.
Lower your gaze down or close your eyes.
Now bring your attention to your breath.
Notice its natural,
Unforced rhythm.
The gentle rise and fall.
The subtle ebb and flow.
As you inhale,
Imagine your breath traveling from your feet upwards,
Like a soft current moving along your spine.
As you exhale,
Visualize this breath gently washing down over you like a calming wave.
Feel it dissolve any tension it encounters,
Welcoming a sense of flow throughout your entire body.
Allow your exhale to create a landscape around you,
A slowly moving stream,
And you are standing peacefully in its waters.
Around you there are ancient,
Whispering trees and dappled sunlight filtering through their leaves.
There are soft,
Fuzzy creatures frolicking in the background.
Envision the colors,
The textures,
And light of this serene environment.
With your next inhale,
Feel the cool,
Refreshing stream gently flowing past your ankles.
Listen for the soothing sound of soft tides and the rustling of leaves overhead.
Feel the warmth of the sun on your face.
As you stand in the stream,
Acknowledge any thoughts or emotions that may have surfaced.
Don't judge them.
Don't do anything with them.
Simply observe.
Now imagine these thoughts and feelings as rocks in the stream ahead of you.
Some might be small,
Smooth pebbles,
Easily brushed aside.
Others might be larger or even imposing boulders blocking more of the path ahead.
Gaze down at the stream itself.
Notice how the water continues to flow through and around these obstacles.
It gently brushes up against and past them on its way forward.
The stream does not stop.
It simply adapts and continues on its journey.
See yourself flowing past the rocks and boulders as the stream does.
As you pass the rocks,
Imagine the peaceful stream is now also within you,
Creating soft pools glowing with warm light.
Now gently return your awareness to your breath.
On your inhale,
Feel a renewed sense of flowing energy moving from the crown of your head all the way down to your toes.
Stopping to warm the soft pools within even more.
With your exhale,
Imagine releasing those rocks and boulders,
Allowing them to fall out of sight.
Inhale deeply,
Embracing a sense of flow and warmth.
Exhale completely,
Releasing any tension and rigidity that you may still be holding.
Exhale completely,
Releasing any tension and rigidity that you may still be holding.
One more time,
Inhale with a sense of flow and acceptance.
Exhale,
Releasing tension.
When you're ready to return from the stream,
Bring your awareness back to your physical body.
Feel the surface under your body,
Stable and supporting.
Wiggle your toes.
Wiggle your fingers wherever you've rested them and take one final breath in.
Full of flow.
And one final breath out,
Releasing.
As you flutter your eyes open,
Make a note of those warm pools you created.
Where in your body were they?
What sensations did you feel?
Were they heavy or light?
Were they deep or shallow?
Active or still.
Choose at least one small sensation detail about your time in the stream to hold on to.
You can return here whenever you seek a return to flow.
