Welcome to the New Moon Meditation.
The New Moon is a time of new beginning.
Now is the time to set up goals and be ambitious,
Decide what the months ahead look like and what you want to achieve.
This is not a time for action but for setting intention.
Just like the Moon,
You are starting a new cycle.
You have been busy living your life,
Then took time to rest,
And now you are ready to start the cycle again.
Get comfortable and find a quiet place where you won't be disturbed during your meditation.
You could burn incense or diffuse essential oil and use your crystals.
Close your eyes and bring back your attention to the physical sensation of your body.
Feel the contact of your feet on the ground,
The weight of your hands resting on your legs or next to you.
Feel the stability of your body sitting still.
Your body is grounded,
Firm into the floor.
Just like the mountain,
You can feel the heat of the sun,
The wind,
The rain,
But you are still standing strong and stable,
Unchanged by the weather.
Picture in your mind's eyes the night sky.
You can't see the new moon,
But you know she's there.
Just like a seed that has been dormant,
Now is the time when you start growing.
Don't be fooled by the absence of the moon in the sky.
Just like the seed,
The first part of the work is hidden in the ground.
When the time has come,
A tiny leaf will slowly make its way to the topsoil,
And from that point on it will start growing taller and stronger.
But for the seed to grow,
It needs fertile soil,
Love and attention.
Just like the seed in its infant state,
You are surrounded by the energy of the new moon,
Hidden but here with you.
By starting anew,
You make space for positive energy in your life.
Now is the perfect time to set up an intention for the coming month.
What is it that you heard desires and your life needs?
How can you make both meet halfway?
Your desire and your need.
How can you design a plan,
A journey that will allow you to have the life you want and deserve?
How can you make both a journey and a journey that will allow you to have the life you want and deserve?
Allow those thoughts that come to you and let your creativity flow.
Let your mind runs free for the next few seconds.
Let your thoughts quiet down.
Let your mind rest for a few seconds.
Let go of your attentions releasing them to you.
Come back to your breath.
Pay attention to each inhale and exhale.
Feel the air coming in through your nose,
Traveling down the throat and inflating your body and as you exhale,
The air is pushed back up and out.
Focus your attention on each inhale,
Filling your lungs,
Absorbing all the energy around you,
Filling yourself with what you need and exhale what does not serve you.
Inhale filling your lungs with air,
Visualizing the air being distributed to all your body and exhale pushing the air out.
Let go of the attention on the breath and come back to your physical sensation of your body sitting still.
Feel the air on your skin.
Is it cold or warm?
Can you hear anything?
Can you smell or taste anything?
Feel the contact of your clothes against your skin,
The contact of the floor on your feet.
Come back to your position in the room where you are and to the present moment.
Come to the here and now and when you are ready,
You can open your eyes.
