Welcome.
I'm so glad you're here.
Today we're going to practice a meditation to help find a bit of balance,
Both grounding the body and connecting to a source of inspiration or lightness.
So before we begin,
Go ahead and set yourself up in a way that feels quite comfy.
Maybe that's in a seat,
Maybe using blankets or pillows to lift your hips or give you some cushion or maybe if you're already in bed or lying down,
Make yourself comfy there,
Settling in for this meditation together.
When you get there,
Start to deepen your breath,
Taking your awareness from everything that's going on around you,
Maybe noticing sounds or movement happening nearby and starting to channel that awareness now inside,
Following the breath.
Notice your inhale and your exhale.
Allow those to become quite easy,
Maybe even a little bit more deep and mindful.
Then continue moving your awareness down now past the lungs and the belly,
Moving down to the base of the pelvis.
From here,
Feeling your awareness drawn down,
You might imagine little roots actually anchoring you down a bit deeper,
These small roots growing right out of the base of your spine,
The base of your pelvis.
Start to visualize these roots traveling deeper down through whatever you're sitting on and traveling down through the floor.
And imagine these roots continuing to travel down through the earth,
Now moving through soil past rocks and minerals,
And moving down deeper,
These roots start to move past big boulders,
These ancient rocks,
And then deeper they travel down all the way to the center of the earth.
Once your roots get there,
They start to travel around the core of the earth,
Wrapping it up.
You start to feel this grounding,
Stabilizing energy source that is ever-present within the earth,
And your roots start to wrap around,
Soaking up this nutrients,
Maybe growing more vibrant,
Even showing a specific color.
These roots grow thicker and healthier,
Starting to soak up all of this nutrients,
This grounding,
Stabilizing earth energy.
You'll start to draw this back up through your roots,
Pulling these nutrients up through these healthy roots,
Moving past big boulders and crystals,
And moving up through soil,
Past rocks and minerals,
This fertile,
Rich soil,
And then continuing up through the floor.
And these nutrients have come all the way to the base of your pelvis,
The base of your spine,
Traveling through these roots.
Let that start to come into the body,
Moving up along the channel of the spine,
Moving through the belly,
The ribs,
And then pause at the heart.
Linger here,
Letting these nutrients spill into the heart space and start to feel that stability,
That sense of relief,
Comfort,
Strength.
Fill your heart space,
Let it swirl around.
And then we're gonna continue to draw our energy up,
Moving past the throat,
Moving past the third eye,
And then moving up to the crown of the head,
The point at the very top of the head.
We're gonna continue to move our awareness up and out,
Moving now past the crown of the head into the space around you,
And then up further,
Moving through the room that you may be in,
Into the sky,
Passing clouds,
And continue traveling up into dark and light and dark and light,
And keep drawing your energy up.
Now into this golden light,
This warm sense of connection,
And then from here we'll keep drawing up through this jelly-like substance,
Moving now past space and time and then keep drawing up into this pure white source energy.
And here start to let the feeling of inspiration and trust,
Peace and ease fill every cell of your body.
And as you're in this space,
Breathing calm,
Knowing that everything is going to be okay.
And start to draw that energy down with you moving now again through this jelly-like substance and down through this warm golden light,
Knowing that you are not alone,
And keep holding on to this essence of source as you draw down past dark and light and dark and light,
And keep traveling down past the clouds,
The sky,
Maybe a bird,
Keep drawing down into the space right above the crown of the head,
And here holding on to this peaceful white light,
And then draw that energy down into the body moving past the third eye,
The space between the eyebrows,
And drawing down past the throat,
And down pausing at the heart.
When you get here,
Let this energy of peace calm,
And the source of inspiration start to swirl,
Mixing with that stabilizing earth energy in the heart.
You feel the connection to the two,
This grounding earth energy,
This uplifting energy from source.
Let those two mix around,
Starting to grow even more vibrant,
Starting at the heart space and then radiating out,
Maybe filling up the entire body,
Maybe moving past the body creating an egg-like dome of light around you,
Mixing of strength,
Courage,
And lightness.
Know that these two energies are always there for you to call on,
And whenever you need,
They are right within your reach.
For a few final breaths,
Let yourself soak in all of this beautiful peace and stability.
Let it soothe your heart,
Your body,
Your mind.
Know that you are not alone.
You are divinely supported.
You may want to call your awareness back into the body,
Into the present,
Holding on to that sense of grounding,
That sense of light,
And taking it out of your practice into your day.
