My name is Alexandra Tomas and today I'm going to guide you through a visualization exercise taken from my course,
10 most powerful meditations for spiritual awakening.
The title of this exercise is becoming one with a desired or divine quality.
The purpose of this exercise is to create inner and outer conditions to which one can foster and enhance a desired quality within him or herself.
It is suggested for daily practice.
In the following exercise the quality of love will be used but exercise can be adapted for other qualities such as courage,
Patience,
Joy,
Compassion,
Friendship,
Beauty,
Creativity,
Power,
Joy,
Love,
Peace,
Harmony,
Simplicity and so on.
It is important that the choice of such quality and the decision to develop it comes from deep within and it is a conscious choice to a further step in the growth process.
Today we're gonna focus on the love quality which is the highest frequency in the universe and we shall expand.
Assume a state of relaxation and take a few deep breaths to settle in from the practice.
Then think about the idea of love.
Connect with your body,
Connect with your breath and flow deep in the most fluid,
Deep and slow way you can possibly do.
And we need three more deep breaths and with each inhalation we feel our bodies lighter and lighter.
In deep belly breaths,
Expanding all your muscles and allowing the light and the warmth of relaxation coming in and out all the toxic energies,
All the tensions,
All the thoughts,
All this comfort.
We just let it out for now as we commit to this practice for the next five minutes.
So as you think about the idea of love,
Hold the concept of love in your mind and reflect on it.
What is its quality,
Its nature,
Its meaning?
As you develop insights,
Ideas or images associated with the concept,
Record them in your workbook or journal.
Open yourself to further ideas or images related to love that may emerge from your unconscious.
Make associations with music that express for you the highest quality of love with poems,
With artwork,
With symbols,
With dances or photography.
Connect,
Connect with these to heighten the quality and nature of love.
And now you feel this quality and this nature in every cell of your body.
You connect and tune into this frequency.
Every cell of your body resonates with you.
Realize,
Realize the value of love,
Its purpose,
Its use,
Especially in our turbulent modern world.
Praise love in your mind,
Desire love.
Assume a physical attitude of love.
What would this physical attitude look like for love?
Relax all the muscles as we go into that,
All the nervous tensions and further melt into your body.
Notice that your breath is slow and rhythmic.
Allow love to express itself on your face now.
It may help to visualize yourself with that expression.
Evoke love directly.
Imagine you are in a place which makes you feel loving.
It can be a quiet beach,
A temple,
A cool green glade,
Perhaps a place where you have experienced love in the past.
Try to feel it.
Repeat the word love several times.
Love,
Love,
Love.
Let love immerse you to the point of identification with it as much as possible.
You feel love,
You breathe love,
You drink love,
You eat love,
You talk love,
You think love,
You taste love,
You smell love.
Imagine writing the word love slowly with a pen in your third eye.
L,
O,
V,
E.
At your own pace,
Feel it all the way.
Imagine yourself in circumstances common in your daily life which in the past would have tended to upset or irritate you.
Perhaps being with a hostile person or facing a difficult situation or obliged to do many things rapidly or unsafely and feel yourself calm and loving.
Feel yourself as you picture this situation again,
That you're playing it back and forth through your mind,
That you're actually a calm and loving person,
That you act love,
That you speak love,
That you do everything that love would do.
Resolve as much as you can to remain love through the day,
To be a living example of love,
To radiate love all the way,
All around,
All the day.
As we finish this practice,
We may want to make a sign with the words love in capital letters using the color and the letters that best conveys this quality for you.
Personalize the word love as you experience it in this meditation today.
Place the sign where you can see it daily and if possible at the time when you need love the most.
And whenever you look at it,
Recall within yourself the feeling of love.
You are love.
